Here’s an appropriately titled loosie from producer Giallo Point featuring emcees D Strong and Dro Pesci called, The Heat. And that’s exactly what this trio bring you on this cut. It’s pure and unadulterated fire. Giallo continues his run of lacing banger after banger for dope emcees. Strong and Pesci are laying heads to rest on this track…you all had your chance!
Decompoze – The Breakdown (ft. Ro Spit and OneBeLo) (Video)
I don’t know why I thought Decompoze was just a producer, because obviously that is incorrect. His pengame is tight along with his apt production with the Motown Funk for his latest single, The Breakdown, which will be off of his forthcoming album, Maintain Composure which is due out on July 4th. His cohorts for this particular arrangement our Ro Spit and OneBeLo.
Single You Out: IceRocks – 3 Eyes Closed (ft. Calamity Chris, Spit Gemz & SicWitDaPen)
Some vintage feeling hip hop from producer IceRocks and comrades-of-the-mic Calamity Chris, Spit Gemz, and SicWitDaPen. The vibe definitely has a 1990s sound, and takes me back to when I first heard Jemini The Gifted One…add that’s a strong compliment. The emcees each bring a different type of ammo to the salvo but it all comes together. Calamity Chris has a very laid back deliver, Gemz always brings a ferocity, and SicWitDaPen closes with a bridge between the two styles.
IceRocks new album, Live From The Bunker is presumed to be around the corner!
G.S. ADVANCE – Levitation (Video)
Here’s the second single, Levitation, from G.S. Advance’s forthcoming EP, Absinthe. And this song is just as hype as the last. Producer Sharp Grizwold and Advance prove to be a dope combination yet again building that anticipation for the EP.
Be ready, June 16th is the date!
Single You Out: Cashus King – Good Riddance (ft. Blu)
I have always held emcee Chasus King in the highest of esteems. His writing skills are pretty incredible and meaningful, while his delivery, on this track especially, is ferocious. And speaking of ferocious, good lord, Blu goes in on a vicious fashion.
This by all accounts is a great cut. Where there is smoke there is fire!
Single You Out: Theo3 – Daily Basis
Theo3 is back and putting your eardrums on notice! He’s addressing all the negativity that we are encountering on a daily basis especially on a grand scale with our treatment of immigrants and such.
The lyricism is intelligent. The hooks are extremely well woven around a production that winds it’s way around a piano sample.
Really great music from an equally great talent.
Single You Out: Al-One – Legends Of The Fall (ft. Illmaculate & Theory Hazit)
This song is sharp. It’s got everything you need in a hip hop cut for 2017. The bars from Al-One, Illmac, and Theory Hazit are all primo quality. And the beat from Rey Holliday is pretty special in it’s own right. It’s got some soul, funk, and boom bap wrapped inside.
Al-One’s, Sharptongue, drops next week, and I am pretty sure it’s going to be special. Stay tuned.
Thirstin Howl The 3rd – Public Enemy (ft. Master Fuol) (Video)
Man, I love this rendering and tribute to the group Public Enemy. Thirstin Howl III and Master Fuol channel their inner Chuck D and Flavor Flav on this track and the video is extremely well done. Really entertaining material.
This track is lifted from the album, Skillmatic, which has some legit bangers on it, so check it out!
Cambatta – God Lived (Devil Dog) (Video)
I was just listening to Cambatta’s latest project the other day. He’s an unheralded talent who possesses elite microphone prowess. I hope that recognition will soon keep pace with his gifts. This song is all about lyricism and writing skills and you won’t be disappointed in either. As Cambatta says in his verse; This is what happens when you starve a lion.
No doubt…lyrical Donnie Darko style will have you tripping out…
Single You Out: Career Crooks – Newlywed (ft. Dewey Bryan, MaLLy, and PremRock)
Career Crooks is Zilla Rocca and Small Professor and they brought along a few friends for this latest music journey. Dewey Bryan, MaLLy, and PremRock all get busy alongside Rocca on the mic.
This cut has so much exceptional going on with it. The track from Professor is funky yet understated which makes it the perfect canvas for these audio lessons. The way the chorus is worked around the emcees verses makes this track have even more of an impact. Each emcee shows unique prowess and styling yet compliment the other.
The new album, Good Luck With That, drops on Friday. Are you down?
