This is something that I wasn’t expecting to find on bandcamp, so it’s just karma that it winds up at my door. Price Stylez, an emcee out of Boston, links up with producer Jakk Wonders for the new project, Black Mass. I haven’t gone too far in but this track, Recognize Real, just plain goes.
Hex One – Peep The Steeze (ft. Skyzoo) (Video)
If you aren’t feeling this…don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. Hex One and Skyzoo are serving up a delicious meal of verses over some neck snapping drums from Planet Ragtime.
His new album, Words Worth a Thousand Pictures, is dropping in a couple of weeks, and by all accounts, this will be a must have.
Single You Out: Blak Flag – They Don’t Know
You can ABSOLUTELY bet that when this guy releases some music, we are going to be posting it. Blak Flag has dropped some of the hardest cutz we have heard over the course of the last couple of years. Shit just knocks. Sherm Larock is again the mastermind behind the boards.
At this point, I needed a Blak Flag album like yesterday. This track is short, sweet, and dope.
Single You Out: Kyle Hubbard – Point Of Life
I have been an avid Kyle Hubbard supporter since the beginning, and you best believe I take great pride in that fact. In my mind, he’s one of a dozen or so artists that really connects me to his music. I listen to his previous work all the time.
When you listen to a Kyle Hubbard record it’s almost like you are having a conversation with a friend, and he’s just dropping experience and life on you. You are going to hear that in this song, Point Of Life, and on his new album, All Good Things Come. I highly recommend you do yourself the service of checking it out.
Single You Out: Recognize Ali – Shiny Ski Masks (ft. Daniel Son x Eto x Vic Spencer)
This is the second single from the forthcoming album, God’s Vision. Recognize Ali, Daniel Son, Eto, and Vic Spencer are hitting you in the face as though their bars were bricks. Don’t sleep on this nor the camp!
Daniel Son – Buakaw (Prod. By PhybaOptikz)
Daniel Son is one of my favorite out of a slew of emcees who have been making waves over the course of last couple of years. He just has one of those flows that keep you engaged. It seems pretty effortless from a fan’s perspective. His material has also been very consistent. Only strength coming from the camp and that’s good to the eardrums.
Single You Out: Rock Mecca – Gladiator Schools (ft. Roc Marciano)
You want some fight club music this weekend? Yeah. I’ve got you covered. Rock Mecca and Roc Marciano go all out for the fight over this sublime production from Jake Palumbo.
The production has a lot of depth with a sonic appeal. I love how it varies over the course of the song. It almost feels tailored, especially for the Roc Marciano contribution.
I too am steadily looking forward to the album, Ironworld, which seems M.I.A. I’ve put in a request for some more information as to it’s whereabouts and when I have that, I will pass it on.
Gift of Gab – Freedom Form Flowing (ft. R.A. The Rugged Man and A-F-R-O) (Video)
Wow. This is some of the best spittery this year, period. Gift Of Gab, A-F-R-O, and R.A. The Rugged Man are clearly just showing off here and as well they should. There are better bars on here than you can find on some entire albums! Really ill. But man, R.A.’s climatic third verse simply just takes the cake…I left listening to this track with nothing but shear admiration.
Eff Yoo – Saturday Night Special (Video)
New joint from Eff Yoo off of his collaborative effort with Toronto based producer, The Kurse. The project is entitled Spicaso and was actually supposed to be out yesterday but I am not finding it online as of yet. I will update this post when I have more information in front of me.
As for now, let Eff Yoo take you on a lyrical jaunt through his mind.
Single You Out: Ras Kass – Pyramid Schemes (ft. Coast Contra) (prod. By Apathy)
Ras Kass launches some trademark social commentary in the form of ill lyricism over this Apathy piano laced rhythm. Joined on the track is the group Coast Contra who flips in English and Spanish and does so with equal parts savageness. I am going to have find out some more about them.
Enjoy the track!
