I admittedly lost track of Substantial’s music at some juncture when QN5 ceased to be a collective. I have all of his early works, but missed on the Bop Alloy releases and probably anything within the last five plus years. That’s a mistake I am regretting. This song. You Don’t Have No Idea, is really an amazing and personal testament to the thw work, talent, and consistency it took to make a career out of music. He does it all with the backing of a well crafted bass line from producer Marcus D…that leads into some jazzy drums…and blends into a perfect hip hop head nodder allowing you to navigate Substantial’s musical career with him. One of the best tracks thus far in 2026. Off of the album, Masters Of Artistry.
