Alright, here we are at the final installment of this month’s Friday Feature with illMEASURED.  If you missed out, just backtrack and check out what this man has to offer hip hop fans.  But as the old adage goes, we saved the best for last for our readers.  illMEASURED produces an absolute monster for emcees Lam & Grins.  Not only that but you see who joins that duo on the mic…none other than R.A. The Rugged Man.   And that feature may draw you in, but this beat by our featured artist keeps you there.  The dark bass line and the guitar licks, accompanied by the expert chopping up the MOP sample make sure that this joint bangs in your system for a while.

  1. IllMeasured captured this perfectly…Naptown bizniz…my verse the 3rd, is direct from my standoff with the dealers in my neighborhood who didn’t even live in the neighborhod and instead used it for their foul money. We pushed back, reclaimed, and made it place kids could ride their bikes, skateboards, play, etc

    Lyrics:
This is dedicated to my certain victim
Knows who he is, cuz he fit the description
First time he stepped, I syrupped his box
Then him n his crew played fear up a notch
Next they try to get me comin outta the church
Said “we’ll spray up the block”, those were his words
I supper clubbed his corner and invited the hood
Flipped the script with the stickers saying “Clay is Good”
Flipped it again as the ice cream man
Plus I got tax breaks for rappers n bands
Like, fuck u man, u leech of the worst kind
Sold out ya brother so u didn’t serve time
I know u, ya wife is white, u got kids
Their better off without u, your like my pop is
I took it to him and I took it to u
And ya boys yo they comin? Be takin ya crew
