New Jedi Mind Tricks album is on the way and this is just the precursur! The Funeral & The Raven is up for pre-order now and I know fans of the group and myself are anxious for the release. Very few hip hop artists have stood the test of time in this era as the likes of JMT, and done it by consistently dropping dope music. On Second Hand Smoke, Stoupe unleashes his version of a music box mixed with sharp snares for Paz to spit over.
Single You Out: Recognize Ali – Godly Men (ft. Vinnie Paz & Ill Bill)
Recognize Ali is staying busy with yet another release on it’s way, Underground King II. And while that does not have an official release date as of yet, we do get the frist single, Godly Men, featuring Vinnie Paz and Ill Bill, produced by Sultan Mir.
And when ever Rec Ali puts his pen to work you know you are going to get a high quality music. This is certainly no different, only made moreso working alongside these legends.
Single You Out: Jay Royale – The Famished (ft. Vinnie Paz)
Jay Royale has some new heat on his hands as he collaborates with Vinnie Paz for the single, The Famished. Fiery lyrics being fired over a piano driven track from Finn. The voices of the emcees cut through the laid back vibe and do necessary damage. Dope material.
Vinnie Paz – Papi Wardrobe (Video)
The prolific and timeless JMT frontman, Vinnie Paz, has yet another project on the way, seemingly adding to his mounting musical legacy. Burn Everything That Bears Your Name is the title of the album, and that is dropping on April 23rd. For this particular track, Paz, joins forces with producer extraordinaire, Stu Bangas. And they cook up a high energy joint that is sure to appease fans. Enjoy and mark the date!
Vinnie Paz – Hannibal (Video)
Vinnie Paz is a legend, twenty plus years in the making, he and his group Jedi Mind Tricks, have been a staple in my music collection, and rotation. And this is another prime example of Paz making auditory gold. He spits some tough as nail bars over a banging beat, and he’s made an amazing career off of that formula!
This is off of his album, As Above So Below.

Notes:
Quite a few dope projects made their way to digital shelves last week but I can’t let this one slide by, so out of all the projects, this is the one that I feel deserved the feature.
Nottz has crafted brilliance at least FOUR times this year providing the soundscape for albums from Blu, Bad Seed, Bumpy Knuckles and now NapsNdreds. He just has an incredible ear and gift for what he does.
And I have a few other projects from NapsNdreds but none as complete as Trouble & a Pair of Dice. His flow, wordplay, and content all shine impeccable on this project. There are a few dope features on this album, but none of them take the limelight off of NapsNdreds. He holds it down on all levels.
This is another must-have for your listening pleasure in 2018. Don’t let it pass you by! Here are my two favorite tracks from the project:
Vinnie Paz – Gas Mask (Video)
Here’s another tough track from Vinnie Paz’s album, The Pain Collector. The track is co-produced by C-Lance and Rob Viktum. Paz is constantly giving you the real and we would expect nothing less….he delivers just that here.
Vinnie Paz – Blood on My Hands (Video)
Some serious flames on this new single from Vinnie Paz off of his album, The Pain Collector, which is due out on September 28th. Paz just seems to be getting stronger as the years go on. I mean, he is stringing some serious bars together on this track particularly on that initial sixteen! Enjoy!
Single You Out: Recognize Ali – Holy War (ft. Vinnie Paz)
Recognize Ali links up with Vinnie Paz to exchange sixteens over a banger from B-Sun. I really enjoy the guitar sample used by B-Sun on this track, and DJ TMB really adds some excellent scratching to the joint. And let’s face it, Ali has become one of the preeminent names in hip-hop, while Paz just shows he’s only getting better with his now legendary grind. Excellent hip-hop.
New project, Recognition, is coming…when…I know not.
Jedi Mind Tricks – Marciano’s Reign (Video)
I am a little late on this one but it seems appropriate to share these amazing visuals and superlative story in the form of Marciano’s Reign, which can be found off of Jedi Mind Tricks’ latest album, The Bridge and The Abyss which just dropped yesterday!
It’s a coming of age story done with artistic perfection.
