Vinnie Paz lets loose another video from his solo project from last year, The Cornerstone Of The Corner Store. Vinnie is narrating on the evil than men do for the sake of the dollar and the control it has over people. The track also features a gritty hook from Eamon and production from C-Lance.
Hopefully you have already checked the album, if not, go check it out now.
In my mind, Junior Makhno, is a top flight producer but sometimes his work might go unnoticed, but here’s an opportunity for you to catch up for the price of FREE. Clandestinity is a compilation of tracks that Makhno has produced over the course of the last few years with well-known, and some lesser-known artists. It’s entirely dope. Listen here if you like!
The original Jedi Mind Tricks team is back at it again with Stoupe and Vinnie Paz reuniting for their forthcoming album, The Thief and the Fallen. Deathless Light finds the two once again in perfect step crafting some dark and devious imagery.
The new album will hit shelves on June 2nd. Mark it on the calendar.
Diabolic drops the final single before his album, Fightin Words, drops this coming Tuesday. So if you have been fiending for that braggadocio and in your face flavor, make sure you get in line for this release. ‘Bolic leaves no bar untouched when he invited Sean Price and Vinnie Paz to drop some lines. This is that un-traditional tough talk, ya hear me fella?
I didn’t realize that Blacastan and Stu Bangas had an album in the works (Watson and Holmes). For their first offering, Nubian Metal, it’s an AOTP reunion of sorts with Vinnie Paz and Celph Titled jumping on the track. It’s more of what you have come to expect from the team: that hard-body hip hop. It’s not my favorite track out at the moment, but it still knocks with the best of them.
The album drops July 29th.
It’s hard to argue with the dopeness found in this song. Taiyamu Denku and Australian producer DCYPHA are out to create some night stalker music with their collaborative album, SUPERNATURAL. The album is going to drop on June 25th with a slew of dope guest spots. As a matter of fact, with Kool G Rap and Vinnie Paz on this joint, I am pretty sure that someone lost their life in the making of this song…Fire!!!
The Demon’s Blade is just one of the many bangers that one can find on AOTP’s latest album, In Death Reborn. The team dispenses with the need for a hook on this track and just offer bars only. Leaf Dog formulates the production formula for the team to rock over. If you haven’t copped the album yet…it’s prolly just too late for you.
Sean Price and Chino XL are now featured on the remix version of The Danger. Esoteric also tailors his own verse to give the song a new appeal. Chino XL of course drops one of those verses that leave your jaw dropped. Just give the man creative license and he is liable to steal the damn show.
This version is only going to be made available via 7″ record. So suck it digital era…haha.
Disclaimer: It is hard and challenging to pick 50 tracks from the thousands upon thousands that dropped this year. It is merely an attempt to list my favorite cuts of 2012. Click the links to listen to the song! I think it’s a great list. There were a lot of great songs crafted this year and I know I left off some good ones. I listened to 5,000+ tracks from 2012 alone this year, so as an artist, if you made this list you know you are on the forefront of my iTunes!
1. Said Before – Goldini Bagwell
2. Rhyme Of The Year – Nino Bless
3. Believers – Mayday
4. Outlive, Outshine – Theo3
5. War – Stryfe and Marc Byrd
Rite Hook’s album, From The Wrong, drops on Monday. This is the last single to drop before the arrival of the album, and it’s a doozy. Lu Balz’ production it really effective. It’s not so big that it ‘covers’ the emcees but still knocks. Rite Hook, Vinnie Paz, and Slaine all have had to struggle for what they have and no…that ain’t easy. Lace your boots up and cop the album when it drops in a couple of days.
