50 Best Songs Of 2022

Lists of this magnitude are tough to do and I take a great deal of pride in crafting. I think the first ten to fifteen are easy to distinguish and then after, I think the places can be somewhat become interchangeable. All great tracks, where the pecking order becomes less discernible. So many artists could have been included multiple times on this list, but then we lose depth. Artists like Mickey Diamond and Jay Royale could have had multiple entries. As it stands only one emcee, Ransom, got two tracks selected for this list.

In the end, this is a testament to the strength of hip hop in 2022. We can agree to disagree on many points but maybe you will find something dope you hadn’t heard or a new artist to support. This is my hope.

Thanks for your time and readership!

Ty Farris – Pain For Ya Vein (Video)

Ty Farris is back with the video single for the title track to his new project, Pain For Ya Vein. And if you don’t know by now Farris has bars for days. This song is relentless in his abilities, and shows why he’s one of the most sought after features in the last few years. Definitely cop the new project along with his discog. Ill without fail.

They used to laugh when I was loungin in last but I outworked them and I polished my craft now these rappers talking about a collab

Ty Farris – Prayer For My Competition (Video)

Ty Farris is one of my favorite emcees. If I see his name attached to something, I don’t even need to hear it before I purchase. It’s an auto-cop. And this track produced by Thelonious Martin is one of the best I have heard from him and that’s saying alot. I love the production here, as Martin literally laces Farris a beat that sounds like a prayer. And Farris’ bars are unparralelled…

Underground superman I took the lowest (Lois) lane….

Dude is just so ill. His first sixteen on this song is one of the best verses of the year.

The new project, Ramen Noodle Nights, drops on June 8th.

Ty Farris x Machacha – Slave In The Night (Video)

Not many are grinding harder than Ty Farris, right now. He’s dropping an assortment of dope projects with talented producers. Slave In The Night is off of his most recent venture with producer Machacha called, Dark Nights & D Fitteds. This one has a very dark vibe to it and is night stalking music if you get my drift. But the constant here is Farris’ command of the language, and constructing bars in death dosages. This is an artist who can flip on any assortment of production and illustrate what is means to emcee. Check out that project above!

Ty Farris – Say My Name (Video)

I haven’t been able to check the new Ty Farris and Trox album, Room 29 Part 2.   But this song certainly makes me want to do this sooner than later.   Embarrassingly enough, I don’t think I have heard the first one which means I am slipping in serious ways over here.   So I have a lot of making up to do but this track is really dope in all facets so we should all be making the move to cop the album.
