I steadily bump his joint with Tragedy Khadafi, High Quota, as one of the best tracks this year. And this track with King Magnetic and Ruste Juxx is right on par with that. Trilian on the beat!
Single You Out: Kyo Itachi x Ruste Juxx – Samurai Sushi
New single from Kyo Itachi’s forthcoming album, Genkidama, featuring oft-collaborator Ruste Juxx. These two, over the course of the last couple of years and two projects, have really honed in on a sound. Itachi intermingles the strings with the drums while Juxx lets off his sixteen without fear and remorse.
There are high hopes for this project. Itachi has become one of the top producers in the game and the project is laden with heavy lyrical hitters.

If I understand the story correctly, producer Endemic Emerald and emcee Skanks The Rap Martyr of Bankai Fam met each four years ago in NYC and there began a mutual respect for each other’s talents. I forget what cut I heard Jake Palumbo rock on that made me check for him, but here he is with a new cut/video, Exoskeleton, off of his new album, Jake It Till You Make It. This track is tough featuring heavy hitters Ruste Juxx and Tek. I copped the album but haven’t given it a full listen, but given the strength of this cut and some of his guest shots, I am expecting a win.

This is a new joint from Endemic Emerald’s forthcoming offering, Black Bag Operation. Emerald has become somewhat of a specialist with that soulful boom bap flavor. The track has those snapping snares but a well placed vocal sample for some added depth. I really have not heard him do wrong behind the boards. Adding their flows to the joint are Ruste Juxx and Kasim Allah. So you know you have that hardbody flavor.
Hex One & 5th Element – Dinner Time (ft. Ruste Juxx & Halfcut) (Video)
This is a top notch joint from Hex One & 5th Element’s album, Hologramz. This joint is some vintage hard bodied hip hop right here. Hex One and Halfcut each wield super crafty lines that keep the listener on pins and needles, only to be contrasted with Ruste Juxx’s Brooklyn braggadiocio style. You know bodies get strewn about when he spits on the mic.
Great song from a great album that you should already own!
Ruste Juxx – BK’s The Best (ft. Skyzoo) (Video)
One of the doper tracks from Ruste Juxx and VSthebest’s collaborative project, Ready To Juxx. The whole album knocks, but this joint right here, featuring Skyzoo, knocks the hardest. The trio takes heads to schools with lyricism that is rooted in the foundations of hip hop over a beat that was simply meant for some BK representatives to rock over. Nothing artificial found here!
