A new remix out for the cut Soap Opera from Sareem Poems and Ozay Moore. the production comes courtesy of Soulseize. The artists are putting a poetic twist on a deteriorating social situation. As certain members of the police appear ever more at odds with the Black Community, it’s songs like this that give us that lend perspective to time and place.
Unbeknownst to me, the team at Effiscienz was holding a remix competition for producers to flip an original song from Fel Sweetenberg’s album, The Invisible Garden. Well guess who came thru as the winner? It should come as no surprise that oft-featured producer, Cool FD stole the show by remixing the Dirt Platoon featured track, The End Of The Book.
Verbal Kent released the album Sound Of The Weapon yesterday. The album is completely produced by Khrysis but the title track is given the 9th Wonder Remix treatment. The remix adds a dash more soul to the original making the song even more heart felt.
This remix of Dirt Platoon’s Second Brokest by DJ Brans is off of the France’s Finest NY Minute Remix project that is dropping in online stores this Tuesday. There are going to be a lot of big names on this project and A LOT of talent from some French producers. I am excited about this album from the standpoint it is going to showcase the wears of a lot of talented beatsmiths from across the Atlantic that you otherwise may not hear.
I finally got a chance to listen to 7evenThirty’s album, Heaven’s Computer. Every track I had heard previous sounded really good and I was not disappointed with the rest of the album. For the remix treatment, Lee Bannon redresses the track. Make sure you check the album if you like what you hear!
You know I loved the OG version that was produced by DJ Brans, and while I still find that to be preferable to my ears, this remix by DJ Grazzhoppa gives it a different kind of dope! Enjoy…
