I didn’t know it was dropping before a couple of days ago but Starvin’ B has a new album produced by One-Take, Digital Jungle. It is out RIGHT NOW. So if you love Starvin’ B material, this is for sure a must cop. You can here a sample of fire with the lead single here, Ironworkers.
He has never let me down.
I really hope this means there might be a Broken Home collaborative project in the works. Spit Gemz, Aye Wun, and Eff Yoo flip that ill lyricism over an incredible One-Take beat. This track is certainly not to be slept on.
Cross your fingers that there might be more of these gems dropping soon!
Starvin B’s new album, Blood From A Stone is oh so good. It’s one of my favorite albums to play from front to back this year and Starvin’s best work to date. I have yet to meet anyone who disagrees with me on that last point.
One-Take handles all of the production on the album and does an outstanding job. It’s a true head knocker. This track is one of the show stoppers from the album and also shows you that Spit Gemz is as potent as ever with his bars.
“A dollar and a dream will get you a shit sandwich…” <—- Ain’t that the truth!
Starvin B does not rest! The man stays making that music. Producer One-Take utilizes the dusty horn to perfection over the kicks and snares. Starvin’ does his thing over the beat and has a great perspective to give to listeners when they are out there pursuing their dreams and goals. Don’t hate, just wall away and move on…
His new album hit bandcamp yesterday, so cop Blood From A Stone at the first available moment!
Now this is it right here! Spit Gemz call upon Natural Elements, Anthony Cruz, to drop more than just a few bars for this track, InkQuisition. The two form a great combination! I mean this spittery is polished. I first came upon Spit Gemz a couple of years ago and became an immediate fan because of his fusion of intellect and grimy street flavor. Anthony Cruz is one of the reasons that I even maintain a blog at all. His work with NE is legendary and he shows and proves that his skills haven’t diminished one bit, if anything he answers the bell in rare form. There are only a handful of artists capable of this kind of wordplay. This track is the lead single for Spit Gemz new EP, End The TV, dropping November 10th.
Spit Gemz, native New Yorker and fire spitter, is back with another video from his FVCK THE RADIO project. The man is drinking fire water these days with the inferno he delivers with each cut. I strongly suggest you cop his discography. He’s one of the few people keeping that grimy music for elevated minds.
Spit Gemz is at it again! He’s not resting on is laurels, he is bringing the heat for this new album he has dropping this year entitled, Fvck The Radio. That project will be dropping on February 25th and you best believe that I will be all over that when it drops. Spit Gemz enlists the soulful Carmen Indhira for the hook and his confederate Starvin B. They “put you on a pedestal just to knock you off it”. One Take on the beat!
Spit Gemz is the real deal. True lyricist and one of my favorite emcees out right now. He and Starvin B kill this dark beat for Hersey Hawkins.
Be on the lookout for Gemz new joint FVCK THE RADIO
Why can’t I get a hold of the Welcome To Hellzgate project? I am about to start a riot. Every joint I have heard off of this album has been pure heat and this is the best one yet. Lyrically, this lineup is responsible for bodying this beat from One Take. Some really great lines and flows on this joint But really, it’s Carmen Indhira who makes this a great song. Love the voice on the chorus. It just really holds all the verse together
We see you down here in Austin, Texas.
