Masta Ace x Marco Polo – Breukelen (ft. Smif-N-Wessun) (Video)

Marco Polo and Masta Ace bring you a tribute to the ‘boro that has brought us so much in the way of not only great music but simply hip-hop lore.   Along for the nostalgic ride they bring along icons in their own right,  Smif-N-Wessun, to assist on the chorus.  Polo laces the piano-driven rhythm, while Ace narrates the history.

The collaborative album, A Breukelen Story, drops on November 9th.

Point Nine – Gotham City (ft. Masta Ace) (Video)

This joint from Point Nine is legit! The production from Taymak had me instantly nodding my head. It’s got that ‘Indian Snake Charmer’ vibe to it combining a Bollywood headliner with hardcore boom bap. Masta Ace then imparts words of wisdom from NYC with the knowledge of a mentor while Point Nine executes the vision in the streets of Gotham.

The Return of the Point drops sometime in the fall. Don’t even suggest you’re not the least bit curious after hearing this joint.

Stay tuned for more information on the album!

eMC – Charly Murphie (Video)

I have already talked about the song itself.  The video is pretty straight forward.  It’s four incredibly talented emcees rocking over the boom bap version of Three Blind Mice.  It get’s no realer!

…you don’t really want to get into a place, where you learn what the five fingers said to the face…” – Masta Ace

The Turning Point drops on May 20th.  You know that you are feeling it!
