Stryfe and Marc Byrd’s album, The Last Resort drops in two weeks, meanwhile they unveil another single. Hometown Hero features veteran emcee Rapper Big Pooh. I have now personally heard two songs from this album, and both have been exceptional. I love the rock and funk beat Marc Byrd creates for the track. It creates just enough edge for the crafty lyricism.
Leave it up to the Local-MU12 collective to keep it popping. It’s a dog eat dog world and the competition is fierce so it’s no wonder that people would be praying for his downfall. Broadway Barrett is a talented emcee dropping heavy bars with compatriots. He also produced this banger. This is just a tough track all around. Enjoy.
Now this song right here is called “creative narcissism”. The 17th is guaranteed to drop songs and concepts far different than what listeners are used to hearing. The 17th would rather listen to himself flow and make music than anyone of his contemporaries and when it is this good, there is nothing wrong with that.
I missed this one as it came straight from the butcher’s shop. Stryfe authors up a certified banger with an assist from Miz Korona. Some great lines embedded in these flows and I am looking forward to Stryfe’s project dropping come some time in May. I hope to get a solid date on that soon.

Local Mu-12 is readying their debut album and this is the first single from the project. This particular cut features The 17th, Fokis, and Broadway Barrett. The 17th laces the beat which sounds as if I was walking through an evil carnival. I am a huge fan of the crews’ body of work and really am looking forward to what they have to offer a full length project. The camp has so many diverse styles and embodies the talent level that you can find in today’s music scene. This cut may be entitled ‘Unhappy’ but it certainly brought a smile to this mug. Livin Proof keeps his foot to the pedal and releases this video for Lean With It which is another song featured on his upcoming mixtape, Die For A Deal. That project is dropping on November 20th so be on the lookout for that. Livin Proof definitely is bring that toughness back to an otherswise soft game.

Newly recruited Local-Mu12 artist, Livin Proof dropped this a little over a week ago and I just got a chance to listen to it. I can easily hear why the crew recruited him and invited him into the fold. Major talent. Fantom Of The Beat is the producer and composes a bouncy, yet banging production. Livin Proof drops bars as he is living the life to the fullest. He has a mixtape slated to release sometime in the near future entitled, Die For A Deal.
Man this song hit home the first time I heard it. I emailed, RP immediately and asked him if I could share this as a single. Well, this song became more poignant to me as I almost loss my wife to a heart attack yesterday. Different situation than the song, but the chorus still hits home when you are looking at a loss.
This song is what hip hop, and music in general is all about,…it gets you feeling something. Really dope writing skills on this one. It’s coming off of RP’s debut album, The Crackpot Diaries which I will be reviewing soon.
