Got a really dope song to share with you from Lateb & Kore’s new project simly entitled, &. Love & Sin is my favorite song from the short project. I really love the melodic nature in which they deliver this. This is a joint that I could easily here on the radio. It’s got so much replay value and definitely gets stuck in your head. Kore is known for his melodic choruses on M-Dot’s project, and I actually forgot Lateb had some singing chops as well. And lyrically they each dip into those lustful moments you encounter in your life. Devil on your shoulder type ish. It turns out to be a great pairing and I dare you to tell me different.

Notes:
His sound and words have resonated through these pages for a decade plus. His struggles and successes have in many ways inspired me to keep going…keep pressing. His sound and lyricism are for the people. It’s for the streets…it’s for those in their 9 to 5s…it’s for those who can celebrate their successes…and for those who take their losses. This is who M-Dot is.
With all that being said, M-Dot has made some amazing music over the years. He’s had some fantastic songs. He’s had game changing collaborations that one could only dream about. He has a lot to hang his hat on by the end of the day. But has he made his opus? Has he made the album where everyone says unequivocally: “That’s his best work!” Now enter producer, Confidence, and their latest album, Library Of Sound.

M-Dot links up with his brethren Kore and Mayhem for the song No One Else, produced by Quiz. And truly, there is no team like the EMS team. Each emcee brings their own style, flow, and lyricism, this time on an uptempo production. This showcases the dexterity of the crew, and it’s really great to hear Mayhem spit a sixteen again. It’s been a while since I have heard him rock.

Alias Blekaut – These Days (ft. M-Dot and Kore) (Video)
Polish producer Alias Blekaut has got something cooking overseas right now with a project entitled The Long Flight coming up. He’s solicited some US emcees to flip on some of his production and here we have none other than long time friends and collaborators M-Dot and Kore delivering that relateable lyricism over a dope beat. Life is more than just comments and tag lines and M-Dot continues to give us that soul, fire, and angst with his pen and his cadence while Kore’s chorus is that tie that binds it all together. Really dope. Can’t wait to hear more off of this project.

Review:
M-Dot is consistently featured on the site because he personifies what this site is about. It’s hard work, dedication, perseverance, and an uncompromising talent. Lots of trends and artists have come and gone in the last decade plus, meanwhile M-Dot is here with Daze Of Greed, showing once again that his way is the only way he walks.

Second single from Pushing Buttons JUST released album, Full Level. Tough Times features M-Dot and Lateb, with Kore on the chorus. The song is a soulful, bluesy, and a neck-snapping that takes the listener through the pain, strife, and resilience it takes to make it in life. Some very heart felt and relatable bars on this joint. 12 Finger Dan is on the cuts and really makes this track pop even more than it already does. I also think this is one of the best animated videos I have seen.
Make sure you check out the album if you love the way this sounds!
Kore – No Exceptions (ft. M-Dot) (Video)
I’ve aways been a fan of EMS’ Kore. He has a very unique, melodic style that I can definitely vibe with. And here he teams up with stalwart emcee and brethren, M-Dot.
The joint has a very dark undertow to it. For my take it seems like this is the notion when give into our vices, despair, and our darker selves. We can throw it all away…or have others do it for us, if we allow.
Dope and ominous track.
M-Dot – Break (ft. Kore) (prod. by Gajos) (Video)
M-Dot exorcises some demons on his most recent single, Break, from his album, Ego and the Enemy 2: A Dissolute Paradise. Life is all about those highs and lows and M-Dot takes you below the heart’s sub-flooring to give you some gritty realism on this track. Bills need to be paid? Wifey questioning your fidelity? Friendships going by the wayside? Feeling that darkness? This is definitely a track you can relate to. Gajos on the beat and Kore on the hook!
Single You Out: M-DOT – The Atonement (Prod. by Pete Rock)
I can’t just drop a few posts and ignore the combination of talent represented in M-Dot on the rhymes and the legendary Pete Rock on the production! This song represents insane levels of skill on several tiers. It’s intense and unrelenting and an unveiling of what is sure to be one of the best projects to drop this year in egO anD The eneMy 2: A Dissolute Paradise. This is to serve notice, that the project is coming to fruition and you should keep your ears peeled!
