Blame One & J57 – They Don’t Know (ft. Akie Bermiss)

Beautiful music.  What can I say that the music isn’t already preaching (no pun intended)?  J57 shows us once again that he is a master of his craft.  This arrangement is perfection.  Akie Bermiss lends a chorus that just takes you on a trip in between Blame One’s bars.  And speaking of those bars:  Blame One has always spoken on spirituality and his beliefs.  If you listen to his past music you will pick up on that.   His message is one of acceptance and blessing.  It isn’t preachy…it’s human.

Walk In The Sun drops on August 27th which seems eons away. But you can preorder it now.

Single You Out: Lyriciss – Vent (Prod. Numonics)

ventk

This is the lead single from J57 and Numonics’ collaborative project, LI FTW, which I had no idea existed until now.  But this has instantly become one of the most anticipated projects this year.   Those two are among the dopest beatsmiths in the here and now.

I also like how Lyriciss is getting the chance to showcase his ability to a wider audience.  He is a very potent emcee and people will start discovering that soon. He rides this beat and does some creative things cadence wise to make it more distinct.  Special shout out for the Quantum Leap line because you truly can’t go back…

Single You Out: Rediculus – Off The Turnbuckle (feat. J57, Venomous2000, Fdot1 & El Gant)

Off-The-Turnbuckle-12

Some high octane hip hop to get the juices moving this Monday.  J57, Venomous2000, FDot1, and El Gant pull off their best Supafly Snooka over this 70s funktastic Rediculous beat.  As of last year, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you who Rediculous even was, but he has been responsible for some pretty impressive works over the course of that time.  When I get something in the inbox with his name on it, I know I have to pay attention.

Nutso – 4 Tha Streetz (ft. AG da Coroner x Camiliano x Shaze) (Video)

When I was on hiatus I evidentially missed this video.  The homie Spit Gemz asked on Twitter who was a Top 5 artist in the New York and Nutso was one of my choices.  He just makes the music I like with an incomparable flow.  Every single one of these emcees on this cut lets loose though.  There are no weak bars and with J57 on the beat, you know the production is straight fire.  This is something to turn up loud and flagrant.

You can cop Nutso’s latest project, Behind These Bars.

Single You Out: Famoso – Me,Myself & Music Remix (ft. Whosane & Shabaam Sahdeeq

All hip hop right here!  Superlative rhymes from Famoso and company (expected).  J57 on the remix (bonus).  DJ Modesty on the cuts (over the top type hip hop).   All around great music.

This track is coming off of Famoso’s upcoming mix tape/teaser Before Tha’ Dope Comes.  That’s going to be a rarities, b-sides, and freestyles compilation.  Check for that if you like this track so we can all catch up on what Famoso has been up to.
