Last single before the Jamo Gang EP drops on January 31st. You know that shit is going to be flames…and no…not lighter flames. Like California Forrest Fire type arson! J57 laces ANOTHER incredible uptempo banger, that accomplished wordsmiths, El Gant and Ras Kass stake claim to another bout of verbal armageddon. Does that sound over-dramatic? Not really.
Single You Out: Jamo Gang – All Eyes on Us
It’s early, but this track from Jamo Gang (El Gant, Ras Kass, J57) could be one of the toughest tracks of 2018. Good lawd! That bass line, the scratching, the bars, all the way down to the additional vocals makes this joint a legitimate threat to anyone’s ears. This song was so dope to the senses I almost suffered stigmata.
Token – New Problems (Video)
Token drops some of the most intense and relevant music in the game. I mean he makes you feel EVERY BAR OF EVERY VERSE in this new joint, New Problems. The first verse tells the story of a girl he met in Idaho. The second about an industry connect that’s gone sour. And his last verse pertains to the strains on the relationships his career is putting on him.
Just really dope material over a production from Jon Glass and J57. One of the best cuts thus far in 2017.
Single You Out: Brown Bag Allstars – 11 Steps (ft. Tash)
The Brown Bag AllStars are back accompanied by The Alkholiks’ Tash for their new cut, 11 Steps. The production is orchestrated by Kev Brown. Everything really comes together for this cut as it comes complete with a slick beat, fresh rhymes, and an assortment of debauchery.
I hope there is more in store from the camp. My record collection needs a boost.

Single You Out: Tenacity x J57 x Deejay Element – Get Down (prod. by Exile)
I was just wondering what Tenacity was up to after listening to one of his fantastic albums the other day. Well, now I know! He’s rocking mics with J57 over a funky and fresh beat from Exile with scratches applied by Deejay Element. It’s honestly amazing to me how remarkable Exile is behind the boards. This track feels ‘stripped down’ but there is still so much going on.
Great music!
Jamo Gang – Straight, No Chase (Video)
Jamo Gang (El Gant x Ras Kass) rip over a J57 banger flexing their lyrical stylings. This could easily be an anthem for all of us who endeavor to a higher level of hip hop. El Gant and Ras Kass are a potent duo. Ras Kass is a legend and one of the all time greatest wordsmiths to do it, and while El Gant might not have the same notoriety, he is not to be bested. He spits bars with an equal measure of tenacity and venom.
Look out for the album this summer! It’s going to be one to remember!
Single You Out: Koncept & J57 – Live Forever (ft. Dice Raw)
Koncept and J57 drop something truly melodic with this cut, Live Forever. J57 melds the drums with the piano for something that has a classic and vintage vibe and Koncept puts together bars that encourage living life to the fullest and shunning the nonsense. A lot of us put so much work in to life that we need to take time to love the moment.
The Fuel EP drops on November 20th.
Single You Out: Juan Deuce – You Right (prod. by J57)
Some new music from Juan Deuce is here and more is on the way with the J57 produced project, Sock Money, dropping in a few days (September 23rd) on Soulspazm Records. Deuce is great because he is an innovator. It’s never standard fair when it comes to his verses. That style is complimented perfectly with J57 on the production. These guys do differently oh so well.
Single You Out: Shabaam Sahdeeq – GMR (prod. J57)
Shabaam Sahdeeq and J57 are cheffing something delicious with their new single, GMR. I am convinced that nobody is has been spitting harder in the last couple of years than Shabaam Sahdeeq and when you had some J57 production along with DJ Eclipse cuts you get nothing but the premiere experience. Enjoy.
