Single You Out: Eto x Futurwave – Poetry Is Dead
This is another great collaboration of talents when Eto and Futurewave link up for the track, Poetry Is Dead. The two artists seem tailor made to work with each other. The song is just over two minutes long with the first half dipping into spoken word, a segue, and then the second half going into more of a traditional hip hop flow.
There is something very fluid and almost ethereal about this track and proves that the power of music and the word is still very much alive.
Raz Fresco & Futurewave – Solar Flare (Video)
From the album, Gorgeous Polo Sportsmen, Futurewave and Raz Fresco give the track, Solar Flare the video treatment. The production and the lyrical element just blend in a coherent vision here. I love what almost feels like a native american element in the music with the wind instrumentation, and Fresco just drops a science that cuts through the air like a whisper in the wind. Sounds really good.

Here’s the new visual, Picture Yourself, from Rigz and Futurewave’s project, Substance Abuse. When I saw that these two were collaborating several month’s ago, I knew we were in store for something special and they did not disappoint. Intricate and sharp lyricism appears in tandem with you cutting edge boom bap with several twists and turns. You need to check this album!
Daniel Son x Asun Eastwood x Futurewave x 36th Cypher – Portable Stoves (Video)
Whatever moniker these guys put out their music under, Futurewave, Asun Eastwood, and Daniel Son only drop gems. Ever since they got their sound out a few years ago, their names stay ringing. And we all keep close tabs on when they are going to drop their next projects. So now we have Bite The Bullet, a subsequent offering from last year’s joint, Physics Of Filth (which I still bump steadily). It’s potent material that hip hop fans are going to be sure to love.

Daniel Son and Futurewave have killed it yet again with their recent album collaboration, Yenaldooshi. This album is full of gems just like this. Futurewave layers some mellow and boom bap for Daniel Son to put out something memorable with lines just like this. He’s always in the pocket:

Let me let you in on a secret…Daniel Son and Futurewave are the best combination doing it right now. They hit on all cylinders when they chef up some new music. Whether you listen to Pressure Cooker or Physics of Filth, you will recognize the high degree of talent and chemistry that exists.
Poppy Resin is just the tip of the iceberg off of their new album, Yenaldooshi, which I have listened to twice at the point with more listens to come. There is a brilliant darkness here that needs to have a constant light shed on it. Al Divino lends his grimy approach to this particular track and it is indeed flames.
