Red Eye delivers some of the toughest lines and I would take his bars over 90% of the competition. This track, Trouble, is just another fine example of what the man is capable of. It’s a Nemesis produced banger that can be found off of his Fatrick Ewing project which will hopefully be out soon.
This ain’t your typical joint regarding love and relationships. F.T. narrates three different verses about three different type of scenarios regarding the ladies. The first thing you will notice is the heatrock production from Musicman. He flips a sample from the Bee Gees that goes by the same name. This song is the type of cut that gets stuck in your head and can’t come out. Intoxicating.
F.T. made his mark in hip hop many years ago with his verse on the collabo, Metal Thangz. His rough flow and grimy lyrics make him stand out in an otherwise crowded NY scene. And what does he do? He goes out and makes an anthem! At least, that’s what this sounds like to me. You know you will bumping this joint in the ride no matter where you hail from.
Call me out for being asleep at the proverbial wheel. Bekay? Shabaam Sahdeeq? Red Eye? F.T.? El Gant? How the hell did I not know this was a group? And then they hit me off with this video? Shit, I am going to bed before I find out that I have been missing out on some more dope material…
On a more serious note, this cut is ill. Very ill. Does anyone else think that Bekay’s verse was the show stopper? Damn.
