DJ Tray laces an epic head nodder (would you expect anything less?) in Buldin’ With The Godz, with emcees Cappadonna, Sonny Seeza, and Flash creating a union of styles that I think fit very well with each other. The track is high energy and bound to get you moving. Enjoy!
N.B.S. – Hunh (Video)
N.B.S. Is back with a recently released album, Swiss Vets 3. And if you’ve been following them over the last couple of decades know that you are going to get strong lyrical contact over boom gap production, in this case, that’s brought to you by DJ Tray.
The song just knocks with the emcees complimenting styles and that head nod effect. Also not to be lost in the mix is those scratches. It makes this joint hit hard,
Definitely check out the teams’ latest installment. I’ve got it on deck to listen to this project in it’s entirety this weekend,
N.B.S. – Violent Wisdom (ft. Tragedy Khadafi) (Video)
N.B.S. is a duo known for dropping that boom-bap shit and this time they link up with none other than Tragedy Khadafi. The three emcees add some lighter fluid to an already hot production from DJ Tray.
You can find this joint and a host of other dopeness on the their latest album, SwissVets2.
N.B.S. – The Evils (prod. By DJ Tray) (Video)
N.B.S. is vastly underrated in this game. They are so very consistent when it comes to dropping the illness. They always go heavy with that Boom Bap. They prove it once more narrating street tales over a neck snapping DJ Tray beat.
The new album, SwissVets2 should be dropping early next year. CDJ Trayan’t wait!
GQ Nothin Pretty – High Quota (ft. Tragedy Khadafi) (Prod DJ Tray) (Video)
What else can I tell you about this track other than the fact it is one of the illest tracks that arrived in the first quarter of this year. GQ Nothin Pretty and Tragedy Khadafi really go get it aggressively on this DJ Tray beat. Just a tough cut off of GQ Nothin Pretty’s album, Animation. Don’t miss out!
Single You Out: DJ Tray – Fire Power (ft. Saigon, Blaq Poet & GQ Nothin’ Pretty)
Fire Power is an appropriate name for this song. The beat, samples, and scratches all add the appropriate level of intensity for these gritty emcees. Saigon, Blaq Poet, and GQ Nothin’ Pretty all bring their unique styles and voices to the track and leave an indelible imprint. There is an updated version of the track that adds a verse from King Magnetic and that will appear on DJ Tray’s forthcoming album, BWTG.
Single You Out: DJ Tray – The Truth (ft. Tragedy Khadafi, Miilkbone, Godilla, Red Eye & Blacastan)
Yeah, like the Brown Bag AllStars say…it’s undeniable. This is a beast of a track featuring three of my favorite emcees, Godilla, Red Eye, and Blacastan. We all know who Tragedy Khadafi is and what he is capable of. The unknown commodity here is Miilkbone. But he sounds nice with his and doesn’t lose a step when the baton is passed to him on the track. This is indeed the first leak off Miilkbone’s mixtape (TBA) hosted by DJ Doo Wop coming out spring 2013
Single You Out: DJ Tray – Stay Free (ft. Blacastan, Godilla & Born Unique)
The homie Godilla put me on to some good tunes. This track is from DJ Tray’s yet to be released EP, entitled Building With The Godz. The track is mellow yet with a bit of grime intertwined. I mean it has to be grimy with the likes of Born Unique and Blacastan on the cut. Check it…
