I know who DJ Concept is. He’s been doing this for a long time and at a high level. But I was not familiar with Ghetto as an emcee, but I got familiar really quick. This is simply an ill combination. These beats with the lyrical artistry is nothing short of immaculate. And if you love this track (my favorite), you need to cop the full project, Ghetto Concepts. You will have no regrets. This is one of the best releases of 2022 up to this point.
Dirt Disciples keep putting out dope music with this, Hologram, the latest single from the latest, Opportunity Knox Vol. 3. This joint is smooth with production from DJ Concept.

We got some new visuals for Planet Asia and DJ Concept’s cut, International, lifted off their collaborative project Seventy Nine.
It’s a retrospective joint that features Asia reminiscing from his earlier years grinding in the streets to the international stage that he now entertains. The track is butter-smooth, and features vocals from Marvelous Mag.
First and foremost, Dirt Disciples consists of the raw and gritty duo, Rome Clientel and DJ Concept and they are about to hit you with a new project, The Ambition, which is dropping on October 9th. This single features a very recognizable beat as well as guest rhymer in, Torae. In the joint, Panormic, you find no shortage of boom bap, that is sure to ensnare hip hop fans off all walks of life.
Rome Clientel and DJ Concept are the Dirt Disciples and this is their first track from their forthcoming, self-titled EP. In Rome’s own words: “The song came from imagining my own death and the battle over my soul between heaven and hell and what that would be like.” It’s eerie and soulful simultaneously in addition to being thought provoking. Little Vic once commented how impressive Typ ill’s flow was, and on Godly Bounce you can surely see why he made that remark. DJ Concept handles the production for this cut. This was the last single before he released his EP, Basic Training which officially dropped TODAY. Check it out!
Rome Clientel is back with another single from the The Empire 3: Coronation project that has a set date of October 14th (which isn’t that far now). The cut, entitled Champions, finds Rome trading bars with New York lyricists Realm Reality (Infamous) and Skyzoo over production from DJ Concept. When you have some many talented individuals involved in a cut, it’s impossible for it to be considered anything less than a win.
I think it needs to also be said here that DJ Concept is killing it as of late. He has had his hand in a number of different projects with a variety of artists and they all come out tight. Just trying to recognize a major contributor to hip hop when I see one…
Sometimes our survival has it’s vices and Peter Leo is here to address them with the DJ Concept produced track, Liquor Store. Leo strikes me as a young artist whose life has run the gamut . He’s seen and done some things, and he’s not afraid to discuss them with us as a listener. On September 10th, we are going to get to hear what his story has to offer us in the form of Young Baby Father.
I wish I had some time to talk about this release, but time is not on my side and I wanted to get this project out so you can all enjoy it. If you like hard rhymes and beats served NYC style, this is something that you are going to want to check out. A couple of the songs I had heard before but many of them were new to me. A lot of great guest shots available on this one as well.

This is some music inspired by the premier of Dexter’s upcoming season that starts on Sunday. But really the bottom line is that this is another joint for you to bang in your system over the weekend. Some ill material. The beat has an epic vibe to it and Tools and Famoso both drop some dramatic verse to capture the spirit of the production.
