Taboo is back with the fifth part of our ten part series, this time going in on his writing process and how he constructs his bars. The man is just so gifted as a writer. He has the ability to make you think, set the mind adrift, and get you contemplating. He also has the penchant for just delivering you raw and unfettered destruction.
We are back to continue our video interview series with Taboo. Here we are on question number four where Taboo goes in on the things that challenge him as an artist. Enjoy, we are going to be completing this discourse over the course of the next couple of weeks so enjoy.
Also enjoy this track from his Bookowski project! We didn’t go into this particular project for the purposes of this interview but there is mad depth to be found there.
Here’s the their installment of our video interview series with Taboo. I hope you enjoy this first set of videos, questions, and responses. We will be posting more of this feature early next week.
Please make sure you continue to check out the man’s music. He is simply on another level.
This is the second interview question in our ten part series featuring wordsmith and emcee, Taboo.
We here are Hip Hop Dependency are really excited to bring you our first interview feature in years! And this really came to fruition out of true admiration for a man and his craft. Taboo has been one of the most creative rhyme writers over the course of the last few years. His music only gets better with time. His concepts and lyricism vary in range but ultimately are consistent in artistry and quality.
We really wanted to take the time to showcase and perhaps introduce Taboo to our readership in a way that provided depth. The man took the time to video his responses to our questions, giving this series a depth we hadn’t seen before. I really hope that you all will take the time to watch this series, so that you too can appreciate his unique and talented contribution to hip hop. Every day, for the next ten days we will be delivering his answers to our questions and showcasing some of our favorite music from him.
I saw Coal Cash (Double Negative) had a new album out on Bandcamp, Unsung, and I really have liked what I have hear from him thus far, so I am checking it out. And it’s a definite win! This album is big on substance, powerful lyricism, and dope production. Father Focus Confucious produced the entire project and did an incredible job.
In order to celebrate the release of this project and get the word out, I wanted to showcase this track featuring his compadre Taboo. The two have such great chemistry and create some powerful bars that play so well off of each other. It’s over eight minutes of brilliance.
There have been a number of these alphabet flips in the last decade or so, and this one from Words of Dead Rabbits is pretty dope. The wordplay is sophisticated but not so delicate to force you to whip out the dictionary.
This is off of his compilation Features Of Fury.
