Notes:

I am going to start featuring one album from the previous week every Monday because there is so much good music that I believe is going unheard.   And this album from French producer, Astro Vandalist,  is something that you guys need to be made aware of.  It’s 17 tracks of unadulterated and potent hip hop.  The beats really hit hard and you can see by this lineup of emcees that there are some heavy hitters on here.

Check out and cop the whole thing as it is worth every penny, but here are my favorite tracks if you want a sampling!

Note:

I have yet to listen to this but I HAD to get it out there.  DJ Enyoutee started releasing some singles months ago, and I had made the suggestion that these should be compiled in some form or fashion and I was told that was definitely going to be happening.  And the Power Of Words is that thought to fruition.

I mean just look at this lineup!   There are so many ill spittas and producers on this thing you can not go wrong!  This is the kind of project that we run this site for!  Awesome lineup and technically you can get it for free.   But if you don’t put something down on a project of this nature…I am calling it right now…bitch move.

Put to the cause and support good music!

Single You Out: D Strong – Say It’s Hardcore (prod. by Vanderslice)

This is the third and final single leading up to D Strong’s next album dropping in July.  Sound In Variables.   This track is a tag team of individuals who stay true to hip hop’s ideals.  Vanderslice continues to impress with his boom bap productions and Strong is truly delivering that ‘hardcore sound’ while other emcees are just paying lip service to it.

The album is dropping in July.

D-Strong & Macapella – You Ain’t Fly (Video)

Some artists and I are just on the same wavelength and D-Strong is one of those emcees who puts to music some of the same thoughts that I have in my own mind.  He sees what I see:  A carbon copy industry where fans worship, as Strong puts it, the Golden Calf.   And while the video portrayal may seem to be over the top it’s probably closer to the mark than we would all like to admit.  D-Strong always brings you a dose of reality with that traditional boom bap back drop.  Much respect.  Check out the collaborative album, Sacrifice.

Single You Out: D. Strong – The Knock (ft. Apani B x John Robinson)

This song has got everything.  It’s got a trio of dope emcees.  It has the great production from HHD favorite, SciFi Stu.  It also has the X-Factor in the cuts by Chinch 33.  It’s time people start noticing the gift he has in chopping it up proper.  I find I enjoy pretty much any song where he has a credit.

I am not sure if this is a single for a forthcoming project, but enjoy it any ways…
