The Red Giants (Jermiside and Brickbeats) just released a new EP entitled The Shade, and Dick Dasterdly just happens to be my favorite cut from the project. You’ve got superior lyricism and flow from Jermiside and I am loving how Brickbeats utilized the guitar in the production. It’s subtlely fantastic.
Single You Out: The Red Giants – What Do I Do? ft. Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan)
The Red Giants new album, Supercharged, just dropped a week ago, and What Do I Do? is the latest single from the project. I missed posting it last week before the album came out and was reminded how good it was when I was listening to the album today. After one listen of the album, I have to say it’s one of the most musically dynamic projects this year. It has great pace and diversity along with that thing called talent to back it.
Single You Out: The Red Giants (Jermiside & Brickbeats) – Time 2 Roll
Jermiside is slept on…that is all. Well, ok there’s more to it that just that, and while the aforementioned is undoubtedly true this track is not only about his dope rhyme schemes and play on words. It’s about Brickbeats soulful/bluesy/hiphop blend that pushes this music front and center.
This is the second single from their forthcoming project, Supercharged.
Single You Out: The Red Giants – Time 2 Roll
I still bump the last The Red Giants’ album, Chain Reaction. And this song proves to be a continuation of their past work. Jermiside is an extremely talented emcee with a quick delivery and concise wordplay that is always enjoyable. Brickbeats really shows out on the production though. He provides a bluesy hip hop vibe and switches up the beat periodically to keep the listener attentive.
The duo’s next project Supercharged will hopefully be hear soon…
