Single You Out: uMaNg & B.B.Z Darney – Return 2 The Classics (ft. Shabaam Sahdeeq)

I know a lot of people may not be familiar with the combination of emcee uMaNg and B.B.Z. Darney but rest assured their chemistry has been proven again and again over the years. Darney I feel is one of the most unheralded producers this age. He doesn’t drop in large quantities but when you hear his beats you are reminded about how gifted he is behind the boards. That also coincides with UManG’s modus operandi: The man has one of the sharpest tongues in the game, you just don’t hear it as much. All that said, when they DO release…it’s special. The chemistry is prevalent, and they are rooted in this hip hop music. On Return 2 The Classics…they colloaborate with the right emcee…Shabaam Sahdeeq, who knows a things or two about penning a gem. The result is you get something celebratory in witty lyricism and innovative production.

They have a new (older?) album coming soon so don’t sleep!

Oh yeah!!!!!   This song has got me so hype!   Purpose (Tragic Allies) has a new project coming our called The Quintessential dropping soon and the whole body of work is produced by B.B.Z. Darney.

Darney is one of my favorite producers over the course of the last two or three years.  He only produces brilliance and Purpose and Saigon each drop substantially dope verses in between scratches from DJ Philogic.

Whole joint is an A+

Single You Out: Seven Oddities x B.B.Z. Darney – Sidearmz

Here’s another squad that’s been putting in under appreciated work, Seven Oddities. The team is a conglomeration of unique emcees from different localities with unique skill sets. It all seems to come together over yet another B.B.Z. Darney banger. And if you don’t know it by now, you may never know, but Darney is an elite producer and he’s produced the entire Calamities project. Definitely get acquainted with that, but also check on their other releases. The discography runs deep with dopeness.

Single You Out: D-Rev – Just Me (prod. By B.B.Z. Darney)

I needed to get another project out there for the masses to check out and what I have here for you today is a sampling from D-Rev’s project, Dirty Capital. The project is produced entirely by the amazing B.B.Z. Darney. The beats and music are impeccable and D-Rev is an extremely skilled lyricist who speaks on the evils of greed. On this cut, Darney utilizes somber strings, guitar, an ill sample from Eminem to create his part in the play where Rev illustrates why it really boils down to …Just Me.

uMaNg – Correct Techniques (prod. by B.B.Z. Darney) (Video)

A really dope song off of uMaNg’s latest album, The Black Rose Certificate. B.B.Z. Darney delivers amazing flavor with this beat and every song on the album is produced of the same caliber.  And uMaNg?   This guy is microphone phenomenal.  His verses are well construed and thought out.   This album is certainly in the top ten from this year.  No question.   Be sure to check it out.

Watch and recognize that true lyricism is still alive and well today.  My inbox is 90% of the time a dreary wasteland comprised of cookie cutter emcees rocking over less than stellar recycled rhythms but uMaNg and B.B.Z. Darney are offering us something different.  The production is potent in it’s rawness and uMaNg gives us a true demonstration of not only what it is to be an emcee but also a rhyme writer extraordinaire.

We are all on notice that his album, The Black Rose Certificate, is dropping November 25th.
