38 Spesh x Eto – Flour City 2 (Video)

I’ve played this song so much already this year, well before it got the video treatment. It’s simply a great track but two very talented and prolific artists in 38 Spesh and Eto. And I keep telling people to stop sleeping on Spesh’s work behind the boards but you don’t here me though. The dude is a pure master at his craft. You can peep this joint on his project, Six Shots, which is out now!

38 Spesh – The Showdown (Video)

38 Spesh is another artist that simply can do no wrong. He surprised us with his latest EP, 6 Shots, and this is a gem from the project. What I think makes Spesh remarkable is that is equal parts producer and emcee, and is remarkable at both. The mans has beats and bars in abundance and every project is something that needs recommendation.

Flee Lord – Perfect Plate (ft. 38 Spesh) (Video)

Flee Lord and 38 Spesh just concocted up some viciousness in the lab with their project, Loyalty and Trust.   Now Spesh really just handles the boards for the most part, but on this cut he drops a sixteen and I think we all know he is bringing it heavy-handed EVERY time.  The man is just delivering on everything he touches.  He and Flee Lord do some damage on this track, Perfect Plate.  My favorite joint from the album.

38 Spesh – Flour City (ft. Eto) (Video)

38 Spesh’s impromptu release from a week ago, 5 Shots, is a prelude to his album, 38 Strategies Of War, dropping on Friday.   But damn if each of these joints isn’t a notch above flawless.   This EP is as dope as anyone can do it!  The fact that Spesh produced each track is a testament to the man’s talent on many levels.  Flour City is gritty from first to last with Eto doing a guest spot and killing it as always.

38 Spesh is setting bars to new heights….enjoy!

Kool G Rap & 38 Spesh – Dead Or Alive (ft. Cormega) – Dead Or Alive (Prod Midnite) (Video)

Son Of G Rap is one of my most anticipated albums this year, ever since I head the first single, Upstate 2 Queens.  I loved the way Kool G. Rap and 38 Spesh exchanged their bars over that beat.  That song is in steady rotation.

This song is extremely dope in its own right, adding Cormega for the chorus.   The emcees go in on the struggle and the survival tactics needed to make it in this day and age.  There are a multitude of dope bars and visuals painted on this track.  Speaking of the visuals:  I am really feeling the animation here.  Midnite on the production.

Album drops for everyone on July 20th, and you get the early release on the 6th if you cop the CD.
