New single from Jay Royale rocking over a beat from Slumlord and with scratches from DJ Grazzhoppa. You also have the shooter Supreme Cerebral dropping a sure shot sixteen bars. The track has a very movie score vibe to it with the strings and sound effects and the emcees treat the track like they are a tag team ready to run down the competition. Really dope track!
38 Spesh – Flour City (ft. Eto) (Video)
38 Spesh’s impromptu release from a week ago, 5 Shots, is a prelude to his album, 38 Strategies Of War, dropping on Friday. But damn if each of these joints isn’t a notch above flawless. This EP is as dope as anyone can do it! The fact that Spesh produced each track is a testament to the man’s talent on many levels. Flour City is gritty from first to last with Eto doing a guest spot and killing it as always.

The Opioid Era – Dope Nodd (Produced by Homage Beats) (Video)
First off, I love the group name, The Opioid Era, and this trio of emcees is dropping that raw-raw rap with tough rhymes over rhythms that harken back to the mid-1990s. I am really digging what I am hearing from these artists. Definitely a talent to pay attention to.
They have a new self-titled album out now that I will be checking into sooner rather than later.
Single You Out: B Leafs – Reaganomics (ft. Elzhi, Ras Kass, M-Dot, and Large Professor)
I was reminded today when B Leafs’ new album, The Horizon, dropped this morning that I had yet to post this incredibly dope single. The talent level incorporated with the likes of Elzhi, Ras Kass, M-Dot, and Large Professor is going to be hard to surpass when it comes to lyrical firepower.
I am a little better than halfway through the whole project by the way and it’s solid! But this the marquee moment thus far through my listen.
RIM – Stainless (ft. Sauce Heist) (Video)
A dope track from RIM’s album, D.O.A., featuring Sauce Heist. The album is no joke, it knocks ridiculously hard and it pains a hip hop head like myself to know that so many people are sleeping. The production and the rhymes laid down there upon are undoubtedly first class. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Check it!

Soulful yet sharp joint from Recognize Ali’s latest album, I Self Lord And Master. You know how we feel about Ali on the site so I am not about to beat a dead horse when referring to the man’s talent. The music speaks volumes. Make sure you are checking this man’s discography. And there’s only more dope in store as 2019 has begun.
Single You Out: Awful P – Lies (prod. by Conflikt)
I feel like I have been waiting for this Awful P project for a year…maybe I have come to think of it? But it’s tracks like these that just make you hunger for it’s release. Every song from Awful P just knocks…
The beat from Conflikt impresses. I love the altered vocal samples. And Awful P has a lot of presence on the mic. His voice and his lines just cut through the beat and hold the listener’s attention.
When The BoomBaptism drops, heads are going to take notice.
Single You Out: Recognize Ali x Ren Thomas x Ruste Juxx – Style
This track is a couple of weeks old, but I am going to share it anyway because it’s just too good to not be included on the site. Tone Spliff laces our emcees with a high paced banger and chops it up proper while the trio of Recognize Ali, Ren Thomas, and Ruste Juxx all contribute their distinctive verbals to track…each with a different but dope ‘style’.
It’s a sureshot that’s dropping on a project due out later this year called, Renaissance.

This is a current Dream Team right here! BrownBagMoney connects with Da Cloth over a Futurewave beat, and then the world just catches aflame. That’s how hot this shit is! Rigz, Saipher Soze, Daniel Son, and Mooch drop salvo after salvo of street lyricism that will have you yearning for more. This is a combination that needs let’s say a 16 track opus. A few posse cuts…each artist having their own track…all over some Futurewave production. That has all the trappings of classic.
