This song has a lot of bite behind it! This is my favorite track from BP’s latest EP, The Supreme Seven. This beat from BP knocks doors off hinges. I love the the keys being pushed here along with the snapping drums. And damn…RJ Payne and E Class annihilate the production. These are some insanely tough bars. Probably will be one of my favorite tracks from the year when it’s all said and done. I feel it that much.
Shabaam Sahdeeq x Nick Wiz – Thunderin (Video)
Dope song and video from legends Shabaam Sahdeeq and Nick Wiz off of their forthcoming collaborative EP, Cabin Fever. This joint truly knocks and should have any fan of hip hope eager to cop the project when it drops. The strong lyricism and flow over some cascading boom-bap has us yearning for more!
The Bad Seed & Reckonize Real – 7 Seas (Video)
Bad Seed and Reckonize Real dropped their collaborative release, The Smoke EP, not that long ago, and this song illustrates the intensity that you will both feel from the emcee and the producer. Damn. This is a song that takes no shorts…at all.
It should not go unnoticed that over the course of the last couple of years Bad Seed has really upped the octane in putting out dope project after dope project…we see you working!
Daniel Son x DJ Duke x DJ Low Cut – Long Season (Prod Dj Low Cut) (Video)
New collaborative project, Season 7, from Toronto based rhyme slinger, Daniel Son, and French producers DJ Duke and DJ Low Cut. And if you are familiar with just ONE of these artists, you know this project is going to knock. I am well versed in all three, and so copping the project was a no brainer.
Right now, there is few hotter than Daniel Son and he continues on his roll working in the sounds of the boom bap from Duke and Low Cut. So check the cut and the cinematics, then purchase the album!
DJ Enyoutee & Starvin B – Something Like This (Video)
Off of the new DJ Enyoutee and Starvin B project, Code Of Ethics, which is out now! Starvin B is a highly underrated artist in my estimation. He is a top flight emcee and has an extensive discography to prove that exact point! Check out the project and respect one of the best on the mic! Screwaholic on the beat.
“Can’t handle the bars, bunch of unicyclists”
Supreme Cerebral – Magnum Opus (Video)
Supreme Cerebral is a stalwart in hip hop these days. I have been privy to witness his ascension through writing the blog over the years. Each album/project sounds more refined than the last while still keeping that raw element and energy that he has ALWAYS brought to the table. This new single, Magnum Opus, has that jazzy element produced by Clypto, and with exceptional deftness, Cerebral shows off his lyrical dexterity.
Loose Change is coming soon!
Benny The Butcher – Deal Or No Deal (Video)
Benny The Butcher has a ton of dope songs and projects to his credit, but this song right here is just snuff music. This beat by Daringer is just plain murder music and every time Benny pics up the mic these days he is putting heads to bed with a cold enough flow to turn the Mojave into an ice rink.
This is that joint right now!
Single You Out: Terror Van Poo x Innocent? x Vinny Idol – Represent (ft. Royal Flush)

I just kind of stumbled across this project from Terror Van Poo, Innocent?, and Vinny Idol, and I was really struck with what I was hearing. The Trifecta project is really dope and a great meld of artfully crafted boom bap. I suggest you give it a listen as I am pretty sure this should be on more people’s radars going forward. This cut, Represent, featuring Royal Flush, just gets stuck in my head. This beat by Vinny Idol is bananas!
Single You Out: Timbuktu x Ollie Teeba – Fire In Our System

I caught wind of this project from emcee Timbuktu and producer Ollie Teeba and it is pretty damn fresh and re-freshing. A Million Pound Note has a fun and playful vibe while staying deeply ingrained in the spirit of boom bap and extra crafty lyricism. I decided I would share my favorite track from the project. The best way I can describe this track is…a…journey. Enjoy!
Black Earth – Sicker Than Your Average (Video)
Kaimbr is back with a new project backed with production from Howard B Knoxz. And let me tell you, this album straight bangs on a different level than what you are used to. The sound is boom bap infused with funk and precise samples and cutz. And when you fuse that with Kaimbr’s lyrical talents, you have a sound that might be unrivaled. Every song from this project is a gem. There is dopeness in consistency.
Kaimbr dropped The Alexander Green Project nine years ago, and that is one of my favorite albums…ever. And this one just might surpass that effort. After a couple of spins I hear no flaws and only excellent execution!
The new album, Blunt Force Trauma, is out now and you shall not regret it purchase!
