‘These are the dayz of rot!‘, the words resonate as you begin listening to MadKem’s first album, Charles Workman. The track (Dayz Of Rot) has a tribal, yet funky feel to it. It starts of with what sounds like some tribal chant, then hit you off with some bongo drums, and then the finger snaps. The track has a feel unlike any other that I have heard in 2011. The use of vocal samples and a very organic production make this a track that you will remember. MadKem drops lyrics that put the listener on to what brought him into the rhyme game in the first place and where he is going with it. Everything about this track is exceptional. Madwreck definitely deserves props for his work behind the boards on this joint.
CF – That Fire (prod. by Destruments)
Every once in a while you catch a song that just makes you say “Oh Shit!”. I can relate it to the time I heard Ras Kass’ Soul On Ice (Diamond D Remix). When I first heard that track I had one of those moments, now once again…I say “Oh Shit!” How hot is this track? CF brings the house down with these bars. The beat by the Destruments is also hot. I think the track uses the same sample as a Ras Kass song from Eat Or Die, called Mange ou Mourir, just chopped up differently. I loved it then, and I love it now. The Destruments new album, Surpassing All Others drops on October 25th.
Ruste Juxx – Grave Digga (Video)
Ruste Juxx has been a very busy man this year. Lots of music and guest shots in 2011. This video/song is actually off of his 2008 album, Indestructible. So it’s been a while, three years coming, but it is dope none the less. You got to support Vic Flair!

This is the illest cut off of a very good Charles Workman album. I am glad that this is the video they are leading with before the release of the album next week.
