Brando Bambino has a new project dropping next week, Nocturne. And The Next Hottest Thing, is the first official single from the project. Pyramid Tapes creates a subtle yet dark and neck-snapping rhythm for our artists to drop some pretty slick lyricism with Eto and Copywrite adding their pen game to an already potent equation.
Kount Fif just announced a new album dropping in June and what better way to get this party started than having the legendary Chino XL and punchline king, Copywrite spit some HEAVY bars over this sonic symphony. And that’s what it sounds like…a symphony of sound. DJ Hoppa is on the cuts as well. Enjoy this and know that the complete project drops, June 7th.
I am a huge Bohemia Lynch fan. The sounds he concocts as producer always have a unique and interesting way of delivering a boom bap sound and this time he’s got Tha God Fahim and Jay Nice to rock over his display. The sound he delivers here is just so dope…and the emcees deliver some raw verses.
Daniel Son and Raz Fresco are cheffin’ in the kitchen and cooking up a delicious course with their video single, What’s The Mission. This is the first offering from the forthcoming album, NORTHSIDE, which is completely produced by Fresco. And that’s bound to be dope as these artists represent their battleground, and hip hop in general.
What’s the mission? / Get Paid…Dollar signs on the agenda
This is soooooo good for hip hop! Reef The Lost Cauze, King Syze, and Outerspace bring out the best in the art and out of Philadelphia. Snowgoons is responsible for the production of this carnage and I haven’t heard it go this heavy in a minute. Wow. Barbarian bars!
Murderers’ Row is the unit and I am sure there is much more heat in store. This is too good for us not get a project!
Someone needs to bring this song and video to light. This is that smooth dopeness we fiend for with some of the smoothest emcees in the game. First off, it’s produced by the legend, Statik Selektah. It’s definitely a groove. And DanO, Little Vic, Bobby J From Rockaway, and none other than Boldy James, drop some serious gems on this piece. Everything about this track is a win and man, Bobby J really brought those bars home. Some serious dope!
Any time I see Stoupe on the production credits, the song/project is going to get a look. And here he sets the right/left march for Switch and guest emcee Slaine to put cadence to. Slaine in particular sounds nasty on this beat but both emcees do a nice job harnessing the energy Stoupe brings to the table.
New dope from producer Brutal Caesar, and he’s got a host of dope emcees on his new joint, Last Days. Ren Thomas, Shyste, and Revalation all join in as though it was there last day to spit a verse. Lots of clever line in here and good wordplay to be had.
There was a time when I only dated strippers / With more junk in the trunk than American Pickers / Rorshack Blot Test bored staring at pictures / Cats call themselves ballas, I call them terrible tippers
Shyste – The Last Days
New Apathy and Celph Titled is simply good for hip hop. This has been one of the best duos in hip hop for AT LEAST fifteen years. When these guys connect it’s nothing but verbal artillery. Dope production coming from Playa Haze, heavy on the drums, lead by a flute, and some strings mixed in, make this one knock hard. Perfect groove for our emcees to catch bodies on.
Had to rearrange some ribs, twist legs, and break arms / I’m so against talking to Jake I left State Farm
Celph Titled – Todd McFarlane
Ridiculous quotables on this one. Connecticut Casual: Chapter 2 is coming!
More soulful hip hop from Lord Juco, and this time backed with some production by Sibbs Roc. It’s short but really sweet. You get one sixteen, that’s really impossible to put into a quotable because Juco’s style is so interwoven within the bars. So you will just have to trust me with two minutes of your life on this one.
