I have been a huge fan of The Narcicyst since he was in the group Euphrates. I have dip and dived across the internet to accumulate his music for my collection. Since his days in Euphrates, he has emerged a more accomplished solo artist with every release. Through Leap Of Faith, The Narcicyst, seems takes a more personal and introspective approach to his music, moreso than his preceding releases.
Famoso gets no days off as he drops the lead single to his upcoming mixtape, dropping in a few weeks, Audio Dope. That project is a precursor to his album, Tales From Tha’ Dopeside which is slated for 2013 release. Famoso is known for dropping that street mentality through raw lyricism and that methodology holds true for this latest cut. He merelay paints a picture of his surroundings. I featured KemiKAL not all that long ago with his video, Built For This. I enjoyed that cut and always watch my inbox and twitter line for new music from this artist and this morning I got something to share with you all. Going Up is his first single from his upcoming project, Elevator Music: Going Up. the cut is self-produced and certainly a little more mellow than his debut but that makes it no less iller. He has a great voice, flow, and the talent remains undeniable. Going Up shows he is not a flash in the pan.
I missed this when it dropped over a month ago and it’s vintage Swave Sevah. He brings the raw lyrical front and center with the deliberate and concentrated flow. So drink the Hemlock as you watch this video and prepare for his long overdue project, Son Of A One Armed Man.
Dice Game is arguably one of the best albums of 2012, intermingling Apollo Brown’s soulful boom-bap and Guilty Simpson’s raw, gutteral flow. This joint features the incomparable Planet Asia who continues to show and prove why he is one of the most sought after emcees in the game.
I was just listening to Sicarii’s album, Tomorrow is a Lie just the other day. It’s a really solid project and worth your attention. Insanity is a clever joint. It has a nice beat and Sicarii has some nice wordplay (ie the Rocky references). Check it!
