Ok. There are components of this song that would make me normally cringe but there is something about Swolf’s flow and lyricism that are captivating. At times he exhibits really superior wordplay, at some points the track (not him) digresses. He’s at his best spitting on the ills of the game and keeping it on that higher level. I think this cut is good enough to share with you so you can make your own decision, plus the homie reps the home state.
Single You Out: Curtessy – Memory Lane (ft. AWKWORD)
This track is from a few days ago, but speed has never been the essence of what HHD is about anyway. Curtessy doesn’t just make a play on the Nas Illmatic cut. It has it’s own identity although they share roughly the same tone and speed. AWKWORD joins Curtessy for a verse as well.

Emilio Rojas – Tomorrow Never Comes (Video)
When Emilio Rojas spits about that real life shit you just have to pay attention. Here he speaks on the hypocritical thoughts he is faced with as he contemplates the day when tomorrow never comes. This is just something we can all relate to, or maybe it’s just me. Also, the visuals especially towards the end seal the deal. His album, No Shame, No Regrets, drops on June 11th.

Fortunato is an artist that I hadn’t featured here before but after watching this video I feel he is a natural fit for our line up. He’s got a nice delivery and the beat is on point. It’s time to start talking about King Mez as one of the best established emcees in the game instead of some rookie just now cutting his teeth. the man has put out solid project after solid project, and frankly, I can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us in the future.
