I am not going to speak too much on this latest cut from M-Dot’s album, egO anD The eneMy. After all, I have a review dropping for the project very shortly. But to put it simply, posers are put on blast for narrating false hood tales and impersonating tough guys. M-Dot and Jaysaun are putting the word out: you are not to be trusted!
Single You Out : Archie Bang – John Wick (prod. By maticulous)
I really feel the music that Archie Bang has put out thus far and even though this song is obviously released in conjunction with the latest Wick movie, it doesn’t make in any less dope. If anything this is one of the dopest hip hop cuts that may play during cinema this year. Respect what Bang brings to the table over this sinister production from maticulous.
Pawz One – Death From Above (ft. King Magnetic) (Video)
This is one of the dopest songs from Pawz One’s F.U.C.K! album that dropped last year. It features King Magnetic and an assortment of fresh lyricism that brings death to the competition.
If you are unfamiliar with Pawz One, I think it’s time for you get up on the man’s music. This is also the perfect time to mention Magnetic has a new project dropping on March 31st, entitled, Everything Happens 4 A Reason. Be ready for that!
Single You Out: Awaxx – Bring It Back (ft. Griff Cowan)
Awaxx, Griff Cowan, and Sultan Mir combine to show their disdain for the current state of commercial hip hop. You get the traditional boom bap flavor with the horns and heavy drums from Sultan Mir, while Awaxx and Cowan showcase their love for hip hop in lyricism.
If I am reading the Bandcamp page right, it looks like Mir and Awaxx have a collaborative album in the works. That should be dope.
Single You Out: Malachi x Interstate Mook – Liu Kang (ft. Case)
It’s been a minute since we have featured some NSD flavor, but this is a nice start for 2017. Malachi delivers a slightly sinister production on Liu Kang for guests Interstate Mook and Case to spit some unsavory bars over.
It’s decisively different from the typical NSD flavor but equally as potent.
Statik Selektah & Quadir Lateef – Exorcism (Video)
Man, it’s hard to get any more intense than Quadir Lateef gets on this Statik Selektah banger, Exorcism. I mean good gawd! This might be the most serious bars spit in 2017 thus far. I have always been a fan of Lateef and pick up anything he puts out, but this on this track he really is trying to exorcise some demons, fa real!
Chapee – Feel It (Video)
I love sharing a new artist with new music. On this track, Chapee and producer Max I Million channel their inner Pete Rock and CL Smooth. The Swedish emcee flows effortlessly in English which I will presume is his second language. He puts the majority of US emcees to shame with his gift. This joint is straight butta.
Check the EP if you are impressed, Feel It.

Note:
I am not going to start off this review by telling you how much I have been a fan of Venomous2000 over the years. That would be disingenuous. As a matter of fact, you won’t see too much music from him posted on this site since it’s inception. Honesty being the best policy, while I respected the man’s talent, I was never really “wowed” by his previous bodies of work, and I had purchased more than just a couple of projects.

Dro Pesci – Harsh Reality (Video)
I’ve been meaning to share this video from Dro Pesci. The dude is nice with his and doesn’t get enough credit for the skill he possesses. Harsh Reality has that grimy flavor but features Pesci’s smooth delivery.
Make sure you check out his latest project, When I Blow Up, Don’t Show Up Vol. 4
Venomous2000 x Trilian – Psalms 76 (Video)
Psalms 76 is one of my favorite tracks, if not the favorite, off of Venomous2000 and Trilian’s new album, Sounds Of The Great Ones. This is track is about bars in relentless abundance from Venomous over a high octane banger from Trilian. There is a method and a message to the music…just listen up and catch it. And definitely make sure you check this album. It’s not going to be one to pass on.
