Starvin B – Wo Hop (prod. by DJ Flash) (Video)

Anything Starvin B drops is an auto-cop. I am sure I have said this before. This time he is backed on the beat and the cuts by DJ Flash. And this track, Wo Hop, is certified heat. The beat matched with Starvin B’s seemingly unstoppable flow will have this one on repeat for a while. I hope this means there’s a new project heading in my direction. I really love this track and this one bar resonated hard with me.

You can tell some / People don’t love you for you / They love you to help em’

Pro Dillinger & Futurewave – Say So (Video)

Pro Dillinger and Futurewave not only are among the most talented in their respective crafts but they are two of the hardest working artists in the industry. They are relentless in putting out some of the best music we have heard in 2024 and they united for one of the best projects this year in Dirtwave, Vol. 1. On the joint Say So, you hear Futurewave bringing that magic on the boards (best way I can describe it, a style unto itself), and Dillinger delivering gritty bars, telling you that he is in full control of what he’s doing. This is a tremendous project. Don’t sleep!

Sparkingtin – One Man Army (ft. Craig G) (Video)

This is what this site was built on and what this site is about! This is a track you NEED to hear but we need to push the word! A lot of you might not know about Sparkingtin, but I do. And I take pride in that. He had a track with the Soulslicers back in 2011 when I first started writing, called Punch You In The Face For No Apparent Reason. That song STILL sounds so good and holds the test of time. But what I didn’t know is that he was still making music! And then I hear this joint with Craig G, One Man Army. And this track shows that same hunger and boom bap flavor as he had nearly fifteen years ago. This track is super dope and produced by Arden Keys. It makes me want to cop that new album, Hidden Talents.

BP Infinite – Kill or be Killed (ft RJ Payne & Skyzoo) (Video)

I’ve said this a few times but BP is such a great producer. He has an elite talent for making beats and that ability is once again on full display collaborating with two of the finest emcees doing it right now, RJ Payne and Skyzoo. The production with the organ keys in the background really push this joint and the emcees each showcase their capabilities. Payne brings that aggressive delivery to the mic, and Skyzoo smoothly transitions into his own smooth deliveries. Love this joint off of BP’s recently released album by the same name, Kill Or Be Killed. This is another strong recommendation. Pick up this album!

Willie The Kid & V Don – Stay Connected (Video)

Willie The Kid and V Don are back at it and making audio magic with their new release of Deutsche Marks 4. This is continuing one of the most successful and beautiful music runs in hip hop. This is one of the elite pairings of emcee and producer. The music is smooth, yet ambitious, and sits in a different realm completely compared to what other artists are doing. When you hear the music…you hear ‘success’ and that’s the brand. so I suggest you stay connected to these artists and cop the album!

Single You Out: Bobby J From Rockaway & Dom Dirtee – Dangerous

Bobby J From Rockaway and Dom Dirtee release the first single from their forthcoming album, Higher, which drops in November. And this song is some high powered heat backed by the scratched of none other than DJ Evil Dee. And let me tell you this joint is dangerously addictive as a head nodder. This beat should come with a neck snap disclaimer. The bass line just speaks to the title of the track. And Bobby J is just so in step with this beat. His flow and pen, just hit this joint out of the park right off the back with lines like this…

Get up…follow me like a fucking Apostle…I embrace the abstract like I’m hugging Picassos

I mean c’mon! This is a top choice joint from what’s bound to be one of the best albums of 2024. Dom Dirtee and Bobby J are deeply rooted in this hip hop!

Single You Out: MaLLy – Doing Okay

It’s been a while since we have heard from MaLLy but if you dig through out archives you will see that this is an artist worth supporting. Exceptional talent. And on the track, Doing Okay, he strikes a chord over a melodic and harmonious production from Last Word. He’s speaking positivity and a heightened level of self. It sounds like this is a man who is at peace with himself and place he is finding in the world. Mature music and more coming on the way on October 15th when he releases the album, The Sweetest Of It All.
