Here’s some headnod shit from Meyhem Lauren and DJ Muggs’ forthcoming album, Gems From The Equinox. And, for real, Lauren sounds crisper than ever on this cut! And this production and pairing really suit Roc Marciano as well. Dope first single should build great anticipation for the album dropping in a couple of weeks.
Dillon & DIamond D – Feast (Video)
This is the lead single given the video treatment from Dillon and Diamond D’s joint venture, Black Tie Affair. The duo get formal for this video as the skills and production remain smooth.
Be are to peep the project!
Slaine vs. Termanology – Anti Hero (ft. Bun B & Everlast)
Ant-Hero is the title track from Slaine and Termanology’s album. It is also the toughest track in an album FULL of them. The album itself is ominous and filled with darkness which makes it one of my personal favorites this year. This track has got some gritty production form none other than DJ Premier and guest spots from Bun B and Everlast.
Sure shot!
Single You Out: Shabaam Sahdeeq – It’s A Must (ft. Planet Asia & Milano Constantine)
Shabaam Sahdeeq links up with Planet Asia and Milano Constantine for this single off of DotGoIt.com’s forthcoming 10th Anniversary Mixtape. First off, this track is that fire that stalks you down a dark alley and then throttles your eardrums. The styles of each emcee are really complimentary over this DJ Ready Cee production.
Secondly, huge shout out to DotGotIt!. I think moreso than another blog, they have delivered rawness at an incredibly consistent pace. They haver personally put me on to many dope artists and projects that I may have never checked for. And truly that’s the purpose of what we should be doing. We are not necessarily taste makers, we are just making fans more aware of what’s out there. 10 Years in the game…congratulations!
Single You Out: Starvin B – Hazard Lane (ft Tesla’s Ghost) (prod EyeDee)
More Starvin B’? Yes sir! I honestly can’t get enough of his music. This track has a grimy yet haunting vibe to it, while Starvin’ kills it yet again bar by bar. I just need another album at this point. Production comes courtesy of Eyedee.
M-Dot – Chrissy (Video)
There are no shortage of dope songs off of M-Dot’s album, egO anD The eneMy. But there are also no shortage of powerful songs either, and that’s what we have here with M-Dot’s latest video single, Chrissy.
M-Dot narrates the story of young woman’s life that goes spiraling out of control to a very tragic ending. It’s a difficult story to watch for some, because someone you know may have wrong-routed like this. It’s deep and personal and sure to heighten emotion.
Single You Out: Reef The Lost Cause – The Righteous (ft. Planet Asia & Skrewtape) (Produced By Bear One)
Oh these guys are dropping it heavy! Reef, Planet Asia, and Skrewtape are firing off heat rocks that your iTunes may not be able to handle. These flows are intense with both delivery and content and the beat from Bear One is just a little vicious. Enjoy this!
Skrewtape – Sell It For Two (Video)
Skrewtape is back with some new dope with his latest single, Sell It For Two. This song has a chill and uptempo vibe to it that just kind of glides into those eardrums.
Skrewtape is just one of those dudes that has done no wrong behind the mic. Always delivering that raspy illness in his music. He is due for a new album so hopefully that’s on the way.
Single You Out: Saipher Soze – Sky Fall
Saipher Soze dropped the album, God Body, earlier this week and that shit goes hard. It’s on par with Daniel Son’s Remo Gaggi from earlier this year. It’s hard rhymes and beats. You have to trust me when I say that this album is REALLY good. Finn is on the production.
I am featuring my favorite track from the project, Sky Fall.
Single You Out: Price Stylez – Recognize Real
This is something that I wasn’t expecting to find on bandcamp, so it’s just karma that it winds up at my door. Price Stylez, an emcee out of Boston, links up with producer Jakk Wonders for the new project, Black Mass. I haven’t gone too far in but this track, Recognize Real, just plain goes.
