One thing Dirty Diggs knows is how to do smooth. And he formulates another slick production this time for the emcee Waterr to do his thing over. The two execute on this perfectly and sound great together. That is a good thing considering the two have a collaborative project entitled, WIZARD of the CRYSTAL, dropping in just a few days. So make sure you stay tuned for that goodness.
Mic Handz – Run It (ft. Rock) (Video)
Here’s a dope record off of Mic Handz’ project, Blvcklist: Rise of The Daywalker EP. Mic Handz and Rock are giving you that raw hip-hop flavor live and direct on this one and there is nothing weak in the mixture here. It’s all about stand-out deliveries and banging production.
And of note…Mic Handz was three days out of the hospital when making this…that’s commitment to the craft. What are you doing?
Serge Severe – The Vigil (Video)
Serge Severe drops the visuals from my favorite track off of his album, The MC. Everything comes together on this joint with Maze Rockwell firing up the horns and haunting vocal sample for Severe to run through with crisp, yet engaging lyricism. This track really typifies what Severe accomplishes on his new album, which you have to hear.
You can read my full review here.
Asun Eastwood – Verified Account (Video)
Here’s some new from Asun Eastwood, and we are DEFINITELY feeling this joint. This production is scathing and Eastwood definitely lets you know that his hard work is paying off in spectacular fashion. This is probably one of my favorite tracks from him and he has an abundance, so that’s saying something.
Enjoy!
Edo G. – Hate (Video)
As a society, we are as polarized as ever. Edo G. addresses the issue that we are so used to hate that we can’t stand to love…even ourselves. The fact that Edo G. delves in on this subject matter is important because he has the clout to do that. He has established himself as an artist with a voice, and that my friends is the power of music.
This cut can be found on Edo G’s album, FreEDOm.
Single You Out: Swamp Thing & Ghettosocks – Phenomical

Here’s something else that is new and noteworthy! The Grindhouse 2 EP is a collection of cuts that did not make the 2017 album, The Octagon, from Swamp Thing and Ghettosocks. The whole EP is rather filthy and the song Phenomical is among my most favorites. There’s lots to love here but the production from Socks and his choice of samples is nothing short brilliant, so be sure to enjoy this sample and then pick up the project!
Single You Out: SoulChef – We Oui (ft. Steph Pockets)

Here’s a gem of a project you all need to take a look at. It’s producer SoulChef’s new one, Foreign Affairs. And I feel like the hip-hop fan is really missing out if they don’t peep this. There are so many great tracks off of this album. I was really feeling Deal With It, Hypocrite, and Reeducaction. But in the end, my favorite is this joint featuring Steph Pockets, We Oui. I mean this track is just plain likable. Pockets’ flow with this impeccable flow from Soul Chef is a win of the highest degree! It’s an anthem of sorts. I can see this getting a lot of love as it gets heard so let’s make that happen!
Nine – Killmonger (Video)
Nine has been keeping his name buzzing for a few months as his new project, King, is set to drop on Septemeber 9th. I am admittedly needing a late pass on this cut/video because it has been out for a moment. It’s been sitting in my inbox for more than a few days and I just peeped it moments ago, and it’s pretty damn sensational. Nine sets himself apart on this track Killmonger, produced by the Snowgoons, offering an alternative to the cookie-cutter mentality that abounds out there. The writing was really on point and the track has an epic sound about it.
Saipher Soze – Opera House Too (ft. Daniel Son) (Video)
Here’s a video single off of Saipher Soze’s most recent product, Kanibull Rising. Opera House Too, just like the rest of the album features production from Finn, and unleashes a relentless head-nodded. If you couple that with strong verses from Soze and Daniel Son, you know you have a platinum product, right?
This album is strong so you need to check that unequivocally.
Single You Out: Ca$ablanca – Hussein’s Fall

And here comes one of my favorite artists right now, Ca$ablanca, dropping yet another dope single, Hussein’s Fall. He’s flipping some serious verbiage over a sitar-laden track by Vanguardia Report.
It’s a short knockout punch of ill lyricism, showing once again Ca$ablanca can flow over any type of dopeness. It doesn’t matter. Recognize!
