It’s a straight hip hop cut from an album that is itself a testament to hip hop. You all should put this on your listening list. It’s impeccable.
DJ Clif – Borne Supremacy (ft. Comet) (Video)
I am hearing a lot of good things about this upcoming project from DJ Clif. He is dropping some serious gems. I mean this beat is just ruthless. I am loving the intensity of the rhythm and Comet delivers the same intensity with his bars, delivering narratives from his life in those NY streets.
The new album, US Connexion, is dropping in early 2019 and as soon as I know about it…you will know about it.
Single You Out: Eff Yoo x The Kurse – Saturn’s Rings (ft. Recognize Ali)
Eff Yoo and producer The Kurse release the single, Saturn’s Rings for their recently dropped album, Spicaso Deluxe, which is out now! Everything is great about this track. The haunting production, the bars from both Eff Yoo and Recognize Ali both ring bells, and then you get the scratches from DJ TMB which takes the track to next level in my opinion.
If you love this joint, you really should obligate yourself to check out the album.
Single You Out: Planet Asia – Black Magic (ft. TriState) (prod. by Dirty Diggs)
Planet Asia is an originator and the style and vision he has shown have been the template for so many artists, and I think it’s about time people give credit to where it is due. He’s been cultivating his sound for almost two decades and remains a gold standard for me and my ear over the years. And he’s back at it, flipping his smooth style along with comrade, TriState, over another delicious treat from Dirty Diggs.
His new album, Keita, is in the works and we should hopefully be seeing that soon.
Single You Out: J-Merk – Lethal Dosage (prod. by DJ Lethal)
Here’s some music I wanted to feature from Chicago artist J-Merk. I think the man has a blesssed flow over this DJ Lethal that is supremely demonstrated over this production from DJ Lethal. Definitely peep his new EP, Never Die Eazy, which has a lot of gritty lyrical flavor. I think you guys will enjoy.
Apollo Brown x Joell Ortiz – Grace Of God (Video)
Here’s another dope visual from Apollo Brown and Joell Ortiz’s new album, Mona Lisa. Ortiz divulges thoughts and experiences from his past encased in the skill and lyricism that we have come to expect. He goes in on the images that he used to emulate as a child, and gives praise that he made it out of all of the pitfalls if nothing but the grace of God. He reflects over an Apollo Brown beat that has it all. He makes musical harmony out of drums, horns, strings, and scratching. Definitely memorable off a really dope project.
RIM – Slumble Pie (Video)
New video from RIM of Da Villins new album, D.O.A. which is super dope! I felt his EP, Ugandan Lunch Meat, which dropped earlier this year, considerably, but this abum is on another level. The production has a dark and grimy vibe from producer Stainless Art and RIM just delivers rhymes that bend around street corners to give you his perspective. You can see and hear what I am talking about in this new video single, Slumble Pie.

Single You Out: Five Steez x Mordecia – Dreamer (ft. Shaq the MC)
Five Steez and producer Mordecai redefine what it means to be on the smooth tip with their latest cut, Dreamer. The title of the song is pretty appropriate as the cut has a dreamscape vibe to it. You can see yourself truly zoning out on music such as this as the rhythm and flow just take you places.

Well, if you’re not living under a rock then you know Benny just released his album, Tana Talk 3 on Friday with production from The Alchemist and Daringer.
Broken Bottles is an Alchemist produced gem from the project and helps define the griminess of the entire album. If I said it was tough, I would be understating it.
Wildelux & Roccwell – Make It Hot (ft. DJ Case) (Video)
Visual from Wildelux and Roccwell’s forthcoming project, The Nomad in No Man’s Land. This joint is definitely fresh with an uptempo and resilient vibe to it, and if it’s any indication of the project to come in a few days, I think we are all in for an auditory treat.
