Here’s a track from Local-MU12’s collective effort, Everyday People. The track features bars from Shabaam Sahdeeq and Punchline, underscored with production from The Manorail. Together they take on the Instagram era and those looking for instant fame in the game.
Molecules & Showbiz – Bad Guy (ft. Money Ray) (Video)
The Legion’s emcee Molecules is linking up with veteran producer Showbiz for a new project that drops on May 19th entitled, A Bronx Tale. Accompanied by Money Ray, Molecules drops that NY Boom-Bap narrations all over heads with the single Bad Guy.
Get ready! Real hip hop is hitting May with a flurry!
Planet Asia – Made It (ft Rozewood & Hus Kingpin) (Video)
Here’s some smoothness off of Planet Asia’s project, Velour Portraits. You’ve got Rozewood and Hus Kingpin lending their skill sets to the track, so what can go wrong? Nothing. This is definitely something to vibe out to. Production from Sonny Vintage.
Check it.
DJ Low Cut – Who Be The Realest (ft. King Magnetic) (Cuts DJ Nix’on)
King Magnetic is one of my favorite emcees. Period. As an artist, he delivers time and time again and never spit anything less than sickly. You put him over a DJ Low Cut production, with Nix’on on the cuts, you have a flawless victory.
If you enjoy this jawn, then I suggest you pick up Low Cut’s new album, Dead End.
Pull The Fuckin Trigger – Blood Poems (prod. by DJ Bless) (Video)
Donnie Darko lets you feel his animosity in sixteen bars over some classic darkness produced by DJ Bless. This is the duo at it’s very best. And when Apollo Valdez links up with the two, they become Pull The Fuckin Trigger.
Look out for the album…I hope it’s coming soon.
Merkules – Conor Mcgregor (Video)
Merkules dropped his new album today, Trust Your Gut, and Conor Mcgregor is a cut off of that very album. Merkules drops some rapid fire intensity in some swift bars over an equally amped Stuey Kubrick production. I am definitely going to check out the album.
Jamo Gang – Straight, No Chase (Video)
Jamo Gang (El Gant x Ras Kass) rip over a J57 banger flexing their lyrical stylings. This could easily be an anthem for all of us who endeavor to a higher level of hip hop. El Gant and Ras Kass are a potent duo. Ras Kass is a legend and one of the all time greatest wordsmiths to do it, and while El Gant might not have the same notoriety, he is not to be bested. He spits bars with an equal measure of tenacity and venom.
Look out for the album this summer! It’s going to be one to remember!
M-Dot – Reliant (Video)
M-Dot drops a video for one of my favorite tracks off of egO anD The eneMy. Reliant is a very vivid look into the eyes and mentality of an alcoholic. Yet another example of the dexterity M-Dot possesses as he narrates tales of addiction. Whatson on the production.
ZotheJerk & Frost Gamble – Axe Somebody (Video)
Here’s some illness coming out of the D, with ZotheJerk dropping some lyrical roughness over an ILL beat from Winnipeg’s Frost Gamble. This song has dope written all over it. I love the Big L sample.
So ring the alarm, Black Beach, the full length album from the duo, launches on May 26th and is available for Pre-Order now. Stay ahead of the curve!
REKS – H.I.P.H.O.P. (prod. by Apollo Brown) (Video)
Reks crafted this video single from his 2016 album, The Greatest X. The production hails from the mind of none other than Apollo Brown.
The acronym stands for H.er I.finite P.owers H.elp O.ppressed P.eople. The music stands for the genre that assist people through difficult times and struggle. As an artist, Reks expresses how the music became a vehicle of expression for him. Dope track from a dope album.
