V Knuckles has a new album and video single out, by the same title, Winter Warfare. This track is an autobigraphical joint that places you in the shoes of the man who came up in the streets of Boston and Cambridge. It is also is a track that fuses the talent with the hustle. It also shows the evolution of man who is now able to take care of himself through his talent and not place his personal well-being on the back burner.
I’ve been sleeping on Boldy James. Not sure why. Not sure what kept me away from his music but I need some redemption here. His album with producer Real Bad Man, Killing Nothing, is a stand out project. And from start to finish it ranks up there pretty high at the midway point for the best of 2022.
This video is probably about or over a month old, but I had to showcase this. Real Bad Man is a stellar producer and deserves more props and credit than he gets. His projects are dope and his skills are in front of you right here. He laces soul with darkness for this venture and Boldy James give you the realness in his unique style as to how he navigates life with snakes in his company.
Definitely peep this project.
Slaine takes you on a journey through the streets that made him in Massachussetts on this cut that can be found on the newly reprised and released, One Day (Director’s Cut). He hopes his story can help others pull themselves through the hell they are going through. Slaine always paints gritty narratives, and this is another deep example.
Rome Streetz links up with producer Royalz, and they craft some smooth dope hip hop. And when I say smooth…I mean smoooooooth. The production is literally strung along, then progresses into a jazzy vibe. Streetz drops so many gems that I lose count which is par for the course. Love this.

Eddie Kaine unleashes some visuals for the single, Imperial, from his recently released album, Wonderful World Of Kaino. This cut is all about an emcee rocking mics and doing life with supreme confidence over some soulful production from Beatnaut. Alias Khryst and exhibits a chemistry that has been forged in a decades plus of making music together. The song shows that age is not relevant when it comes to making high quality hip hop. This song, if anything, puts a stamp on the fact that these artists have merely gotten better with time.
Madhattan and NV got a new album dropping, Consequences, on May 13th, and damn what a lead off single from this duo! I mean, Madhattan’s flow is just meaaaannnnnn. He delivers an unrelenting flow over this flute driven illness from NV. The result is a really great song that not only is a reflection of the talent, but also something that can get stuck in your head for weeks to come!
