Zion I has such a unique flavor all unto themselves. It’s funky, electronic, and head nodding. This song is off of their latest album, ShadowBoxing. I am about ready to listen to the whole thing right now, so…. ‘Bounce!’

I love the message and energy that SuCoo brings to this song. The intro to the video lulls you into the presumptions that this is just going to be a documentary then SuCoo hits you with a rapid fire delivery of socially charged lyricism. I love this kind of hip hop.
I typically don’t post videos like this unless it’s someone I know and they deliver a monstrous performance. Both of those apply to Of Mice An Musician’s Benjamin Miles. Benjamin Miles and team release Bottles & Bones earlier this year, and it’s been one of my favorite joints of 2012. Don’t Sleep!
Playdough is one of the most searched artists on this site. His previous album, Hot Doggin’, gets a ton of love from fans.
This song is coming off his new project dropping on 10/22 entitled Writer Dye: Deux or Die. This track is one half Queen/Run DMC montage and one half hip hop but entirely dope. I enjoy Playdough’s style. He’s a unique artist who’s not afraid to take some artistic chances.
Toby is not only dropping verses but he’s taking you to sociology class as well. It’s a dope concept for a video as we all hide behind certain things in our lives whether it be religion, culture, or history.
Toby’s project, Evolutionary 2, drops on October 10th.
I’ve listened to the V.I.C. a couple of times now and I can unequivocally recommend it to you as not only Ruste Juxx’s best work to date, but also as one of the best albums of 2012. The Arcitype’s board work is impeccable. He produces heater after heater and Ruste Juxx just elevated his game to new heights. If you like this track and you liked the other singles we have posted on this project at HHD, you are going to love the album. I would suggest going with the iTunes version as it has bonus tracks you can’t find elsewhere.
This video is coming off of D Strong and Dave Sparkz recent project, Unfold which is incredibly dope. D Strong comes with rhymes reflecting social inequity. Cop the album if you haven’t already. Worth every penny.
“Real recognize real and it’s all fam in here…”
This song made me want to leave my wife and son at home and go his the block (no, I did stay at home). But it did set off that vibe. Great cut from a great album. Everything is on point with this cut.
Iron Lyon’s album, From The Ground Up, is better than just being solid. It’s a great listen. I really hope to get a review out for this one because it’s owed the time and energy.
