Consistency. Consistency. That’s one of the first words that comes to my mind when I hear the name Kap Kallous. Never puts out a wack song or a less than solid project. Paper has a synthed out 80s vibe to it with some nuanced funk. I like the direction of the video too as it shows the paper chase from a different perspective. I just got done listening to Dumbfounded’s new album, Take The Stares, yesterday. He’s got a really unique approach to making hip hop. He adds a lot of humour to his songs and this video proves to be equally unique and amusing, not to mention it must have been fun to do!
I had know idea this video was dropping until last night. It turned out to be perfect timing as I am, in a few moments, posting my review for this project. Escuchela is my favorite track from the Vice City Nights EP. Those beats and those bars make this track too nice not to share with a friend or five. Emilio Lopez really has upped the ante with his projects in 2012. Jump on board now so you can avoid the “I-Told-You-Sos” later.
