I have been sitting on this joint for s second, for no good reason. The beat we’ve all heard before but the flows and rhymes kick it up a notch. I am pretty familiar with Savant from his Crash Series. I could tell from those joints that he’s a talented artist. MedafORACLE and Mr. Miranda are also no slouches when it comes to emceeing. Thusly, you have bar enrichment.
Torae – That Raw (Video)
Torae is a beast on the mic. His album, For The Record, also very beastly. I loved That Raw before but now that it gets the visual treatment, I feel it even more. The dope lines in baggies…conceptually genius. I like how they ran with the theme throughout.

Note:
This is the first installment of a new category on HHD entitled, Sorry I Slept. I just want to recognize some projects that I may have missed a few months ago, or perhaps a few years ago. I will be posting these on an as needed basis.
I picked Dead Poet Society because I have really become fond of their music over the last few months. I saw this on Dot Got It when it was originally released. I always meant to check it out but never did. That is until a few months ago.
The EP is solid like concrete if you like that Boom Bap east coast sound. Each emcee carries their weight on the project and the production is strong.
Single You Out: Donnie Darko – Appreciation
There is so much heat coming out of the NSD camp these days! But this may be one of my favorite Donnie Darko tracks. This is the pace of track that he sounds the best on it. You can also hear his passion for hip hop on this joint. Sutter Kain is a Top 5 producer in my opinion. On Appreciation he finds another ill sample and adds the boom bap. Great song…

Single You Out: RoQ’y TyRaiD – Bye Felicia (ft. Chaundon)
RoQ’y TyRaiD hit me up with his new single Bye Felicia. I must admit, I have heard his name before but I have never heard his music before, but I am glad I gave this one a spin. It’s dope and something that is going to stick with you. And it’s always a good thing to enlist Chaundon for a verse. Quality music…
Tese Fever – Victory (ft. Born Unique & Kaimbr) (Video)
If I see Kaimbr on your record, rest assured I am going to check it. It’s on that “don’t test” and “you don’t want none” type steez that when done properly, can really shine. This joint shines.
Single You Out: Little Vic and Nature – Open Your Eyes
Little Vic can post these references all day and they are going to wind up as a single on this blog. One of my favorite flows in the game. This time he teams up with Nature for the cut Open Your Eyes. the beat is provided by long time collaborator, Velotz.

Single You Out: Sha Stimuli – All Falls Down (ft. Grafh and Mr. Probz)
Ok. So this really isn’t a single but I really want to put people onto the Sha Stimuli EP, The Chills. This is the best track on the project though the whole thing is really good. The production is done by Focus and sets a really dope backdrop for the emcees to drop their bars. People need to recognize Focus as the top notch producer he is. Each emcee drops a really nice verse but Stimuli’s is the show stopper. Definitely cop the project for $4.99.
