The ‘W’ is back in the building with Born Allah leading the pack. And he’s got LuckIAm and J-Ro helping to represent the Left Coast on this joint with a funky bass line aptly entitled, Westside. Good rhymes. Good vibes.

Wow. I showcased this single over a year and a half ago and I forgot how dope Whosane is! And you know what? I missed his project from 2013, Brooklyn To Capetown, but I am about to rectify that faux paus immediately. And after you here this song again, you are going to have to DL that too. But it also bears mentioning that this song also appears on the Straight Path Jewlz Mixtape which showcases a lot of other dope artists though it does come in at a hefty cost of $12. The choice is yours but enjoy the song/video.
The Heddshotts camp is back with a new project, backed with production from Junior Makhno entitled, Circus Of The Freaks. I haven’t checked the album yet, but from the few tastes I have gotten (including this video), it’s going to be heavy. It’s free to download, but you can donate if you are supporter.
M-Dot bust flows brazenly over break beats. Befuddling the best of listeners with braggadocio and bravado. Oooohh. I had to try. At any rate, M-Dot, belittles (there I go again) the second letter of the alphabet and yet another song off of Layer Cake.
I love introducing a new artist to our audience, and Coast is definitely worthy of some recognition as he delivers that Hood Rat Shit over these horns produced by Sound State Beats. He has the voice that just cuts through the noise with that grimy and gritty flair.
To catch more from Coast, you can download his latest project for free, March First.
So this is the way the war begins? Damn. This shit was over before it started. First off, Billy Loman, murked this beat. This production is among the illest you will hear this year. And Term is on a roll. He has had some serious bangers over the course of the career but his fire is getting hotter as hit career progresses. Blanco and Rivers are also unleashing some serious mayhem on this joint.
Term’s new album, Shut Up And Rap, is dropping next week and I will definitely be picking this up.
This new cut from The AbSoulJah kind of left fielded me as I had no idea this was coming. I have always been down to support this man and his art. He always keeps it live with that boom bap hip hop but this song takes it up a few notches as the production from I.N.C.H. Beats is on some epic shit. That’s the perfect landscape for Ab to narrate his tale of revenge. I am not sure if this is part of a bigger project, but even as a standalone track, this is a must listen.
Good gravy! M-Dot was telling me that he was putting in work with this producer named Chillow and now I see some of that work come to light. This funky bass line had me from the jump and M-Dot shows that he can clean up real good and keep it smooth with his natural slick talk (haha). This really is a track that you can throw on before you hit the town..make you feel like a million bucks. No let downs.
A really dope song off of uMaNg’s latest album, The Black Rose Certificate. B.B.Z. Darney delivers amazing flavor with this beat and every song on the album is produced of the same caliber. And uMaNg? This guy is microphone phenomenal. His verses are well construed and thought out. This album is certainly in the top ten from this year. No question. Be sure to check it out.
CF is artist whose intensity is hard to duplicate on the mic. The man spits with such fervor that as a listener you can feel the emotion that he puts into his craft. The man is an ill emcee but also incredibly articulate and educated which makes him dangerous and elite emcee. To add a little propane to those flames, you also have Swave Sevah and Akir dropping some verses.
You can find more dope material from CF if you cop his most recent release, Ascension.
