Political Animals – Who Want What (Official Video)

Alright, this video and music has a ton of stuff working for it. First off, it’s innovative beyond belief. The video is so unique it is in of itself a complete work of art. A real shout out to the director, Shane McLellan, for crafting something that stands out as stellar in a world of mediocrity, especially when it comes to videos.

But let’s not lose sight of the dope music. Political Animals have a fresh and enlightening appeal. The drums and the bass line are heavy hitters here and the rhymes are impeccable. All together this is the sure shot heads should be looking for in 2016.

I hope to hear more.

Uncle Sam – Pioneering Burdens (feat. Adam Horn) (Video)

Uncle Sam is someone I have featured a couple of times on the blog and was perhaps one of my first few feature on the site when we started five year ago. Every time I hear a song from him, I hear a little more polish and refinement in the music. Pioneering Burdens is simply put a dope song. The production features a dope beat with scathing symbols and a hook that reels you in. Uncle Sam’s flow and lyricism sounds very much on point.

This track is taken from his EP, Get Off My Lawn.

L.i.f.e. Long & Bunty Beats – Climbing Up (ft. Paro (Split Prophets) & King RA) (Video)

I am always in the mood for some new music from L.I.F.E. Long, especially when it’s coupled with some vintage, soulful production from Bunty Beats. I have been following Bunty’s work over the course of the last couple of years and he’s someone who should be on every hip hop head’s radar. This joint is just oozing soul and blues.

L.I.F.E. Long and Paro each spit about different angles about the distortion of the truth in society and difficult problems the average man faces in a system designed to work against them. King RA on the chorus.

The cut is from Bat Out The Cave. Watch out for that!

Shabaam Sahdeeq – D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. (Video)

Shabaam Sahdeeq drops another hot joint from the EP, Modern Artillery, which is out now. Big Ape putting out a production on D.I.L.L.G.A.F. that has more of a upbeat and vibrant vibe to it, the way it leads with the piano key samples. But Sahdeeq is doing anything but playful on this track. He is differentiating himself from the pack with every effort, so don’t lump him in with the pack. He is on a level all unto himself right now.

Sav Killz -Dreadnoks 2 (ft. Math Hoffa) / Onslaught (Video)

Sav Killz gives us the best part of two cuts with his latest video.  He is joined by Math Hoffa for the heavily GI Joe influenced track, Dreadknoks 2 and then does a solo round  for the song, Onslaught.

Both of the tracks are official but I am extremely partial to Dreadknoks 2 banger.  Incorporating the names of various characters from the cartoon into the lyrics of a song is certainly impressive.

Both of these tracks can be found from Sav Killz project Immovable Kings.

William Cooper – Something Ain’t Right (ft. Nature) (Produced by BP)(Video)

A new and insightful single from William Cooper’s album,  God’s Will.  The emceeing, featuring Nature, and production from BP, are dope, but the message here is what needs to get through.

What Cooper is trying to get people to take notice of is that the  Patriot Act is an abuse of power that can effect anyone. No one is immune from it’s abuses.  You may be safe now, but one day you may not be able to say that.
