Sean Links and Ral Duke are bringing that funky and fly shit with their new single. Cold Chllin. Definitely has that 70s old school vibe going with it and it’s a very intentional joint. And Links sounds razor sharp with is pen on this one and his flow just seems breathless on this.
New video off of XP The Marxman and Cvrrister’s project, Terremotto. And I really love this joint because it’s laid back, melodic, and just a sound to vibe off too while hearing. XP is on some really smooth ish with this, and it almost has a meditative quality to it. Close your eyes and let the music take you.
Right now anything that DJ Hoppa is on is gold to me. His productions really speak to me. I just love the music he is creating. Here he links up with Wax for a very laid back and melodic joint. It’s been a while since I have personally heard from Wax, but I always loved his conversational and somewhat nonchalant style. Just very chill and personalbe. This is a great combination!
Daniel Son is on a mighty tear through the streets and your eardrums this time backed by th ealways impressive production of Finn. Dance Of The Drunken Mantis, is a journey through the streets and mindset of the future “Bush Doctor Millionaire”. And the man has many styles and skills, so always pay attention when that music drops!
Rockness Monsta and Ruste Juxx deliver the title track to their new album, Crownsville, produced by Lynx Mafia. I am not familiar with Lynx Mafia but they produced a banger amongst an album of bangers for this track. Arguably this is my favorite joint off the album as Rock and Juxx rep their territory and people on this joint to the fullest.
I also want to say this: Ruste has done a lot of albums over his career. Rock has a few under his belt as well. But this is their magnum opus. The way they play off of each other. It’s like they are fuel to each other’s fire and the elevation is apparent because NO ONE is making albums like this anymore. And Ruste said this on the gram before the album dropped, THIS is the album of the year. And you know what he might be right! This is a fire project!
Good gawd! Damn! This song is all sorts of fire. Adwerdz on the production really laces something that somber, yet banging, and it lends itself to something epic…Rockness Monsta and Ruste Juxx exchanging bars celebrating none other than the legend Sean Price. And a legend deserves an amazing tribute, and that’s EXACTLY what we get here in all ways. The way Ruste and Rockness trade these bars and the clever lyricism, is nothing short of great. I am moved by this because, the topic and the tandem bring the best out of EVERYONE. Everything sounds razor sharp on this! The visuals are so dope because it puts Sean right there in the song. The visual transitions are incredibly well done. And the only artists that could have pulled this off are present and accounted for. This is the definition of “proper respect”. Wow.
The Crownsville album is dropping later this month so be prepared for that!
I actually came looking for something to promote Vstylez latest album, Buddy Revell and came across the video for Me. The album is really good, and while this isn’t my favorite track from the album, it still showcases the talent that abounds through the course of the project as the artist can show he can do it his way and not deviate from the path he sets for himself. This is definitely not one to sleep on.
K.A.A.N. and DJ Hoppa have been putting in work this summer! And that’s great for all of us because that’s a remarkable combination. They recently released the top notch album, Delusions Of Grandeur, which I think is one of the top albums this year. And yet they are not stopping. They have another project slated for release at the end of this month.
Weight isn’t as dark and menacing as the songs from the previously mentioned, Delusions Of Grandeur, but still one that bears a sense of angst and the want to get that weight and pressure of their backs!
Rasheed Chappell is back delivering that high quality content we have come to expect from him over the years. On the track, Haysoos, Chappell solicits the thought that we need a little more God in these streets, or laments the lack of with all the people he’s lost and things he’s seen over the years. SoundsLikeDen is on the hook and the track is produced by Beatsbyjblack and The Arcitpye.
You can find this on Chappell’s upcoming album, Nonstop: JFK ATL, which is dropping on August 30th.
If this song doesn’t get you hype about the new album from Substance810 and Clypto, I don’t know what quite would do the trick. This joint is a smash! The production got’s some street Phantom Of The Opera organ vibes going and with DJ Grazzhoppa on the cut, this joint is a direct hit, don’t miss! Love the ODB sample mixed in, and then the smooth yet sharp deliveries from Substance810 and O the Great really compliment not only the track but each other. Love this joint!
