Easily Crippled give us a video single from his album, Demented Logic. It’s a little bit twisted and demented but all the way dope. I love the derivation in the beat especially when it hits the chorus. And Easily Crippled spits an assortment of solid bars but hits another level when he starts going Old Testament. Peep game.
Lucky Dice – Memoirs (Video)
Lucky Dice gets introspective in regards to his life and his music with his latest video single, Memoirs. This song is uptempo and upbeat, certainly adding to the inspiration of the day.
Dice’s album, M.O.S.A. is dropping in about 15 minutes…cop that.
Ren Thomas – Oil & Water (Video)
Is it the music or is it the woman? Ren Thomas doesn’t have a choice in his new single Oil & Water. Hip Hop is just ingrained in Thomas just as is oxygen to air. The track has a bluesy feel to it as the emcee put his feelings to in the bars. It hurts to lose somebody that you love, when you can’t change something intrinsic in yourself.
If you don’t have his album, I Been Nice, you definitely need to check it. Incredibly dope!
Rob Viktum – Shoot The Messenger (ft. Lil’ Fame, Skrewtape & Guilty Simpson) (Video)
Rob Viktum’s album, Shoot The Messenger, actually drops at midnight tonight on all the digital outlets and this is the title track from the album. You’ve got the grimiest of the grimy on this joint. It’s a tough lineup of emcees with Lil Fame, Skrewtape, and Guilty Simpson on the mic. The production almost has a TV Score feel. Really dope.
I can’t wait to peep the project.
L.I.F.E. LONG & Bunty Beats – Foulness (Crazy Eights) (Video)
L.I.F.E. LONG and Bunty Beats are back at it again and they have a new album dropping on February 27th entitled, Bat Out The Cave. The track features eight emcees from across the globe with unique styles but all dope. Beats lays down some production that any emcee would be happy to flip on. Always worth checking when these guy are involved in the music. Don’t sleep on the forthcoming album!
Everlast x Sick Jacken x Divine Styler – Dazed (Official Video)
I guess I really wasn’t up on Everlast, Sick Jacken, and Divine Styler’s collaborative project as WARPORN Industries. But I am keenly aware of the project now. I love the rock element exhibited on the track along with the industrial vibe.
This is really something interesting to check. The mixtape, War Porn, is out now. Check it out!
King Magnetic – Cash 4 Catastrophe (Video)
There’s holding these bars back from King Magnetic as he rocks over this Explizit One banger. What is a brawl for some is just slap boxing to Mag on this track as he has one of the strongest flows in the game, hands down. I can listen to his album over and over again. They present maximum replay value.
Speaking of albums, make sure you check his new one, Everything Happens 4 A Reason dropping March 31st.
Token – Doozy (Video)
Token is back with another single showcasing that same creativity and skill that made him an instant favorite here. There are so few artists capable of this level of song, that I can speak enough to the talent. And that creativity isn’t just shown in the song, but the video has got A LOT going on with it as well. Very entertaining.
Jigmastas – The Resurge (Video)
The Jigmastas made their long awaited return to the hip hop scene last year and it really was a sight for sore eyes. DJ Spinna and Kriminul have born witness to the deterioration of hip hop over the course of the last decade and heading back to the frontlines to provide the “resurgence” needed. Spinna always provides a smooth and eloquent production featuring pianos and horns, while Kriminul blesses the mic with his distance voice and fresh delivery.
This is what the game needed! Check out their album, Resurgence, NOW!
SPNDA – Handle With Care (Video)
SPNDA just released his album, Shards Of Glass, and Handle With Care is the latest video single from the project. And even though it’s short, it packs a pretty dope lyrical punch. I really like the album, it’s short but potent in skill level. If you are feeling this track, I think you should give it a shot as well.
