This joint from Point Nine is legit! The production from Taymak had me instantly nodding my head. It’s got that ‘Indian Snake Charmer’ vibe to it combining a Bollywood headliner with hardcore boom bap. Masta Ace then imparts words of wisdom from NYC with the knowledge of a mentor while Point Nine executes the vision in the streets of Gotham.
The Return of the Point drops sometime in the fall. Don’t even suggest you’re not the least bit curious after hearing this joint.
Here’s some hard hitting beats and rhymes from Majesty and Native Born from their collaborative project, Auditory Artillery. I copped it and gave it a listen. It smacks pretty hard. So if you enjoy hard hitting production and hard rhymes, you should check it out.

This song is all about lyricism front and center and these guys deliver bar from bar. Vic had me do the double-take/rewind with the Black Philip line. And DanO…have I heard of him before? Why haven’t I? He’s pretty damn ill.

Another video single from G.S. Advance’s project, Absinthe. Sharp Grizwold drops the soulful flavor while Advance supplies the ill lyricism. This is yet another indicator of how dope the EP is. Definitely check it!
The Gift Of Gab reflects on the process of gentrification in the city. People and whole communities being shaken to their core in the name of progress. The place you once called home is simply not the same anymore. This is one of the more meaningful cuts you will here in 2017. It’s off of his project, Rejoice! Real Rappers Are Rapping Again! which is being marketed very interestingly.
Kyo Itachi and Planet Asia? Yes please! That’s a dope combination. Planet Asia and Itachi’s skills are not genetically modified…they are organic and authentic! Asia is a legend in this game and there is no debate about that!

Last video from Makhno’s album, Party Discipline, featuring the Dirt Platoon on the mic. What would you expect with a Makhno and Dirt Platoon collaboration? That’s right. You are going to get some of that hardbody hip hop. Raw beat. Rough rhymes. Great combination!

First off this song has dope dancehall vibe to it, the chorus and production bring you immediately into The Preceptionist’s fold as they start to articulate the current state of affairs as it pertains to police treatment in the black community. The video and lyricism points out that there is probably not very much differentiation between the days of Civil Rights demonstrations and what is taking place today.
