First off, I love the group name, The Opioid Era, and this trio of emcees is dropping that raw-raw rap with tough rhymes over rhythms that harken back to the mid-1990s. I am really digging what I am hearing from these artists. Definitely a talent to pay attention to.
They have a new self-titled album out now that I will be checking into sooner rather than later.
A dope track from RIM’s album, D.O.A., featuring Sauce Heist. The album is no joke, it knocks ridiculously hard and it pains a hip hop head like myself to know that so many people are sleeping. The production and the rhymes laid down there upon are undoubtedly first class. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Check it!
Soulful yet sharp joint from Recognize Ali’s latest album, I Self Lord And Master. You know how we feel about Ali on the site so I am not about to beat a dead horse when referring to the man’s talent. The music speaks volumes. Make sure you are checking this man’s discography. And there’s only more dope in store as 2019 has begun.
Here’s a tough track from the artist LordWillin, off of his most recently released mixtape, Death Sentences. Dope production and good flow and rhyme will get you a spot at HHD essentially every time!
This is a current Dream Team right here! BrownBagMoney connects with Da Cloth over a Futurewave beat, and then the world just catches aflame. That’s how hot this shit is! Rigz, Saipher Soze, Daniel Son, and Mooch drop salvo after salvo of street lyricism that will have you yearning for more. This is a combination that needs let’s say a 16 track opus. A few posse cuts…each artist having their own track…all over some Futurewave production. That has all the trappings of classic.

Justo and maticulous cook up some music from the soul with this track Man Up from their recently released album, Mind Of A Man. I love the pace and energy of this track. It’s funky, soulful, and definitively hip-hop. The song also just caters to the spirit of man. Learn from your mistakes, and create life lessons.
I just listened to this whole project and it’s borderline impeccable. You should definitely check it out!
This is evidentially a new project that Red Eye has been working on with fellow emcee Ruff Da Rude, and I couldn’t let the video single for the track Pitchfork pass. It’s too nasty not to share.
Here’s a great track from Rasheed Chappell’s fantastic album, First Brick. This track features another two artists that have been making big waves in 2018, Daniel Son and Crimeapple. There is no stopping this lineup over the production from Kenny Dope.

A video single from Zagnif Nori and Kabe’s collaborative project Fer Noble. On the track Art Deco we have what I will call a mellow symphony crafted by Kabe while Zagnif Nori and The CastOffz drop some pretty crafty sixteens. It all goes hand in hand for a dope feel.
On a side note, I am not sure if I am familiar with The CastOffz, but I am going to take this opportunity to check for them because dope crews are hard to come by these days.
The new Zion I project, Ritual Mystik, is probably the duo’s best work in the last few years in my opinion. I really enjoyed every track from the project and here they deliver the video single for their cut, Calm Down. This video is also exceptional from a coordination standpoint…both audibly and visually keeping the president and the establishment’s policies in check, in the neighborhood.
