This is one of the Elcamino features on the the TCF x BSF collaborative project, Trust The Sopranos. Corners has Camino narrating stories of what can happen on the streets and how wild and sombering those moments can be. He does so over a 38 Spesh groove, that really holds to the perspective of the content.
The Truth & Frank B. (BadFellas) – That’s It (Video)
Man, I was waiting for Frank B’s solo album for the longest time and it never dropped as far as I can tell, so for me to see this project with The Truth, I am pretty damn stoked! And these guys do not disappoint! These bars and flows have me craving their new album, BadFellas. It drops next Friday, so make sure you all stay alert on copping that! This is the finest dope!
Fatt Father – Party Of 1 (prod. by Foul Mouth) (Video)
Fatt Father is putting a new spin on being domesticated! He has some fire bars on top of this superlative production from Foul Mouth. Party Of 1 has a bluesy and soulful vibe, but don’t get it twisted, his bars have authority behind them. He’s got one of those voices that cut through the noise and just hit you!
I can’t wait to check out his album, Soccer Dad, out now.
Asun Eastwood x Finn – Soul’s Mystery (Video)
New video from the ever prolific, Asun Eastwood and producer Finn. Eastwood has been grinding at a torrid place when it comes to creating dope music, but this has a different feel to it. An elevation, where producer and emcee are in perfect sync, fused together for this track. Finn layers the track with various samples lead by a guitar, while Eastwood finds next level comfort in the cut, as his words pour from the music. Really feeling it.
This song is from the duo’s just released project, The S.O.UL., and I am about to check the complete project at some point today. You should too!
CashUs King – GLORY (feat. Jeff Johnson II) (Video)
I’ve been fan of CashUs King since the days he was putting out projects under the name Co$$. I’ve always been infatuated with the flow. The man is just so fluid and in command of his prose. The songs almost sound like natural conversation. The track Glory has a gospel and spiritual element to it as King and Jeff Johnson II liberate some bars to keep the listener uplifted.
Evidence – Pardon Me (Video)
A super smooth joint from from one of the illest to do it, Evidence. This is the second single from his forthcoming project, Unlearning Vol. 1. When I listen to this record, I here the template to personal success and the evolution of man in music. So enjoy this next step in Ev’s career.
RedRum – Mark of Da Beast (Video)
RedRum is back with a new video single for their upcoming project, The Messiah Complex, which is due out on May 14th. And they are spitting flames from the dark underbelly of the streets on this new single, Mark of Da Beast. The two emcees will go to any lengths to stop anyone who stands in their way. Nickel Plated is on the boards providing dark ominous shadows. There is a terror on the loose…cop it next week!
Bronze Nazareth & Recognize Ali – God Aura (Video)
Bronze Nazareth and Recognize Ali have this new album out that you need to get familiar with, Season of the Se7en. Both of these artists have established themselves as ‘elite’ in their own craft and they unite to bring you something rather spectacular. As you can hear on the track, God Aura, both artists are bringing that energy to the craft as Nazareth laces a banger with horns orchestrating the way, while Ali fires gritty line after gritty line at you. You certainly need to peep.
Eddie Kaine x Wavy Da Ghawd – Not A Game (Video)
Video from Eddie Kaine and Wavy Da Gawd’s project, Twelve 24. And Not A Game is that raw hip hop where Wavy leads with the flute and then hits you with the drums, while Kaine gets relentless with those bars. I’ve been very impressed with Eddie Kaine and always check for his project. You should all be on the same vibe.
Beneficence & Confidence – Jerz To The Jugular (feat. El Da Sensei & DJ Kaos (of The Artifacts) (Video)
Beneficence and Confidence have a collaborative album out now entitled Stellar Mind. I just copped it last night and while I have yet to listen to it in it’s entirety, if it’s anything like this cut in it’s consistency, I am in for an audible treat. Hip Hop in it’s purest essence with El Da Sensei dropping a guest verse to round out the verses. Check it out!
