M-Dot and Revalation bring that exquisite lyricism over a DJ Grazzhoppa rendition of the track, Jump Start. And you know you are getting 100% hip hop with this combination.
Thunny Brown – Bar Work (Video)
Bar Work….yes Thunny Brown delivers on the namesake of this track with some serious street talk and a thunderous flow. This is not for you fancy lads, but this for that head nod effect. The beat is more than just proper and Thunny has some great wordplay and flow. This track appears on the album from 2020, Heavenly Sword. I might have to check that out.
You failed to plan and built your castle on the sand
Dope line.
Wildelux – 24/7 (Video)
Wildelux is back with a new song, and not only does he handle the mic professionally but he also produces this song. And this is not your average beat, either. This is some legit fire!
I’m a little saddened to hear this is his last solo album, but excited to hear what this end product to look like. Get ready for The IT Factor…coming soon!
Maze Overlay – Trappicante (Video)
Maze Overlay is on an absolute tear with releasing dope music. This time he gets a hold of a SadhuGold banger, and he does what he always does…stays in the pocket with that flow and drops a steady diet of gems. He really has a unique way of keeping his rhymes gritty yet elevated, if that makes sense. Can’t wait to hear what’s next.
Double A.B. & Git Beats – Sashimi (Video)
New video single from Double A.B. and Git Beats and these fellas are dropping it on the smooth tip. Nothing but the best for these artists as they keep it raw…Sashimi. Git Beats laces one of the more soulful joints I have heard this year and Double A.B. has a penchant for the turn of phrase and clever line. Consummate emcee here!
This duo has an album dropping in the near future, Lungs Of Mahalia.
Madchild x Obnoxious – Black Out (Video)
I just caught wind of this new release from emcees Obnoxious and Madchild, entitled, Mobsters & Monsters. This video is older in the blogging game and I should have caught onto it sooner, but this joint is really tough and the album was released about a month and a half ago so I am sharing now. Lots of dope bars in this one.
Jay Royale – The Wise & Lakid (ft. Havoc) (Video)
Jay Royale seemingly only makes heat rocks. He had that one joint with Kool G Rap earlier this year that was total flames, and then this joint, The Wise & Lakid, he’s got Havoc dropping some heavy bars. And this production from Ray Sosa very much has a 1990s Mobb Deep flavor. And the pen game proves razor sharp on both ends of these sixteens.
Ty Farris – Pain For Ya Vein (Video)
Ty Farris is back with the video single for the title track to his new project, Pain For Ya Vein. And if you don’t know by now Farris has bars for days. This song is relentless in his abilities, and shows why he’s one of the most sought after features in the last few years. Definitely cop the new project along with his discog. Ill without fail.
They used to laugh when I was loungin in last but I outworked them and I polished my craft now these rappers talking about a collab
SoulRocca – Toil (ft. M-Dot) (Video)
M-Dot and company fired this video single off to me, and it’s super fresh. German production team, SoulRocca, provide and excellent and energetic backdrop for one of our favorites to sink his teeth into. I say this all the time, but the track Toil again hits this note for which M-Dot is famous. It’s that hard work infused with talent that sets him apart bar by bar from others. Love this joint.
And you can hear more from SoulRocca off their new album, In Good Company. A lot of dope features on there and you can hear the talent from behind the boards.
COMET & SWAB – Foreign Wasteland (Video)
New video single from Comet and Swab’s collaborative project, Authentic Kloth. Foreign Wasteland brings a soulful realism in that boom bap fashion. Swab’s vocal sample is pretty special on this joint, while Comet breaks down the land of good and evil bar by bar.
