Well, the album Machine Gun Pelly, has reached an almost mythical stature and I just hope that actually drops some day. The man is talented but they have been talking about this project for years now.
But you simply can’t deny a banger when you hear one…
The homie Junior Makhno put me on to this man, JMega. This is some tough music right here. Apparently, the two have a collaborative album that is in the works and if it all sounds like this, then that will be one nice album.
I know a lot of you may not be up on 2Ugli but once you hear this joint, you are going to want to hear more. Peep this story from beginning to end, and you are going to put this artist on your watch list! His new album (which goes by the same title) should be dropping before years end.
This joint from Iron Solomon’s album, Monster gets the video treatment. The song is nice but is taken to the next level with the artistic merits of this video. One of the better videos I have seen this year.
I hope this post didn’t catch you yet again sleeping on the man, Godilla. He is dropping banger after banger. This particular joint is coming off Battle Beast: A Prelude To Human Zoo. Check the visual treatment.
Alright, finally a new artist that I hadn’t featured before that I can proudly put in today’s five posts. Yogy drops a dope and intelligent commentary over an entertaining beat with some well done visuals to boot. You can’t beat that.
If you are feeling this track, check out his album which dropped a few days ago, Kings Wear Crowns. Production wise it is reminiscent of The Luniz in the late 90s. I am listening to it now, and it’s different than what I would usually listen to, but it’s got a lot of flavor.
This is a nice cut from Charmingly Ghetto’s latest project, Scotland Yahd. It’s smooth but will still have you nodding your head. I haven’t heard the EP, but I will be getting on that with the strength of this record.
I introduce to you, HHD’s latest find…L.U.K.E ! It’s really good to see younger (younger being quite relative) artists embracing hip hop. L.U.K.E. and his compadres, Sage and Abstract prove to pretty lyrical individuals over this Little Villain production. It’s definitely something hip hop heads can appreciate. Be on the lookout for more material from our brethren!
This was just recently shot over to me by the producer of these joints, Fundamental. And unlike many of the other projects I receive, this one was very polished and show a great deal of promise. Even though this video has been out there a while, it still is relavent as it is the first single for the duo’s album which drops in October, entitled H.I.T.S.
Every part of the video shows off a different aspect of talent from both emcee and producer. Enjoy!
