Tuesday Promo: Sean Price – Mic Tyson

If you didn’t know this was dropping today, you probably have been living under a rock or maybe you are new to this hip hop thing.  At any rate, I am experimenting with a new way of promoting some dope hip hop releases when they drop (Tuesdays).    All these singles drop previously and maybe you see them, maybe you don’t, but I am going to compile them for you so you can check out the singles that dropped and potentially (hopefully) purchase the album below. Sean P!

Tuesday Promo: Masterminds – Giant Antlers

I was trying to think of a different, yet relevant way, to promote the Masterminds new album, Giant Antlers, to make it more accessible to perspective listeners and fans. The album dropped today and I decided to montage their videos in one post and embed the link to their bandcamp page.  This way you can see and listen to their creativity without skipping all over the web to do so.

I just finished listening to it for the second time and I can pretty much guarantee you haven’t and won’t hear anything like it, anytime soon!

JMega The God (True Masterz) – Desperado (Video)

More music that bangs from the combination of JMega and Junior Makhno.   This song should be featured on their new album, Blood & Thunder which, as of yet, does not have a release date.  On this track, Makhno throws together a string symphony for JMega to spit over, even lacing the intro with a little Steve Buscemi from the movie, Desperado.  JMega has a tight delivery and strikes me as clever with the words…

When I find out when the project drops…I will make for certain you do as well…

Kap Kallous – Paper (Video)

Consistency. Consistency.  That’s one of the first words that comes to my mind when I hear the name Kap Kallous.  Never puts out a wack song or a less than solid project.   Paper has a synthed out 80s vibe to it with some nuanced funk. I like the direction of the video too as it shows the paper chase from a different perspective.  It’s off of his new and readily available album, Hearse.

Emilio Lopez & RJBeats – Escúchela Ft. Rapsusklei

I had know idea this video was dropping until last night.   It turned out to be perfect timing as I am, in a few moments, posting my review for this project.  Escuchela is my favorite track from the Vice City Nights EP.  Those beats and those bars make this track too nice not to share with a friend or five.  Emilio Lopez really has upped the ante with his projects in 2012.  Jump on board now so you can avoid the “I-Told-You-Sos” later.
