One of the best tracks from Rome Clientel’s latest EP, My Inner War, gets the well deserved video treatment. Kount Fif created this stark beat which goes hand in hand with Clientel’s lyricism.
If you haven’t checked my review of The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds please do so. If you favor that NYC rawness this will be for you.
My inbox has a 90% failure rate. That means nine out of every ten submissions are straight bunk. But today, the artist Jus Daze made opening and sifting through the inbox worth it. When you listen to his verses you understand that “he just gets it”. His lyrics and rhyme schemes indicates that this guy is on some other ish, but it’s the amount of heart he puts into his music that separates him from other artists I have heard. With that being said, Music Box, is a powerful song. So spread the word…pass this post…his video around. I don’t want it to go viral…I want it to go epidemic. Oh…and if you just want to hear the song and the actual video, progress it to about 4:08 mark.
Now you are going to need to know some wrestling references in order to understand the lingo. Luckily, I am so equipped. The beat on this track and while I am not familiar with Ballantine, I am certainly familiar with Godilla and Tone Liv. Ballantine certainly holds his weight on the track.
Possibly one of the most innovative videos done this year to go along with the fact that it s a great song. JD Nero and Tribeca drop verses that show that they’re not going to be force fed the ideas proposed by the media over some nice production from Daveytree.
This song can be found on the compilation album, Audiowear.
I definitely got down with this one. Dope track. TReZ in particular represents. I like the way the beat by Ric Rude flips and changes bringing in The Omen type ish. The content is on point as well. Something worth checking…
Livin Proof keeps his foot to the pedal and releases this video for Lean With It which is another song featured on his upcoming mixtape, Die For A Deal. That project is dropping on November 20th so be on the lookout for that. Livin Proof definitely is bring that toughness back to an otherswise soft game.
The Brown Bag AllStars conglomerate is back at it again, delivering you the fresh visuals that you need and deserve. This video made me want to go to purchase a bike and hang out with my friends from middle school…but enough of that…
Rhett Committed Murder can be found on the crew’s latest EP, the Brown Label Part 2.
Another video off of the Media Shower project. This is also one of three dope story telling cuts off of that album. This story pertains to a man who hits his girl and the revenge that ensues. Double A.B. is one of the most apt emcees to tell a tale. Check the album to hear more if you feel you deserve it.
This is the latest installment of videos from Koncept’sAwaken album that was released late last year. It’s probably one of the more popular tracks tracks as it’s hard to go wrong with a guest verse from Royce da 5’9 and a beat from Marco Polo.
The video is a concept that has most recently been used by Ras Kass where young ladies play the roles of the hip hop artists who perform the song.
Aside from being dope, the other word that comes to my mind when discussing Classified’s music is polished. The man never lets anything less than stellar leave the lab. It’s that professionalism that sets him apart from the throngs of emcees. That and exceptionally clever wordplay. That helps too. He’s supposed to be dropping an album at the top of 2013.
